iTunes US

#

Started by stupidfish23

Not to be picky, but it was noted on the site, that the RHC EP would be available on iTunes (all territories).

I have a US iTunes account, and the EP is not available there.

The new RHC page on the site fails to mention iTunes at all, so I would like to know if there is any chance the EP will be available in the US iTunes anytime soon?

Thanks.

Sarah asked me to answer your question - apologies for the late reply.

Sadly the EP isn’t just not listed on iTunes US, but it’s not on iTunes at all at the moment. The record company is investigating why this is the case, and as soon as I get news from them about this issue, I’ll post it here.

you give him too much credit. He can’t do anything right.

If he tried anything, more than likely Therapy?’d end up #1 on the charts.

I have been told that it’s only available on iTunes UK at the moment. I’ve just added a direct link to the EP on iTunes UK, on the ‘Rain Hits Concrete’ page. If you have an iTunes account in a different country it will ask you if you want to switch to the UK store to buy the single.

You can switch back to your own country on the bottom of the iTunes Music Store homepage.

When I receive any news on on the other iTunes stores, I’ll let you know.

sadly, this won’t work. clicking on the buy now button and entering my account info i get presented with the attached dialog.

clicking ok takes me to the US store, but that one does not have the EP, so I can’t purchase it.

hope it will get sorted out soon.

I’m sorry to hear this, stupidfish23. I’m not sure what iTunes’ policy is regarding buying at different stores, but apparently they handle the US market differently.

I have an account for iTunes Netherlands (where the EP is also not available) and when I click the link I get the attached dialog, which enables me to switch to iTunes UK and buy the single. I know this doesn’t help you much, but I wanted to illustrate what I meant in my previous post.

My contact at the record company has confirmed to me today that the company handling digital music distribution for Therapy? has been told, and are actively working on making it available world wide on iTunes.

Small correction to my earlier post - when I switch to iTunes UK I can view the single, not buy it. Buying it requires a UK account, which you can only apply for with a UK billing address. Apologies if this confused anyone outside the UK trying to buy the single/album on iTunes UK.

I just found out that both the RHC EP and OCFA are now available on iTunes in several other territories as well. I didn’t check all territories, but they are available in the USA, Ireland and The Netherlands in addition to the UK.

Sadly, I saw that they aren’t available in Australia and Canada, for example.

Also, the iTunes exclusive song on OCFA is still only available on iTunes UK.

My contact at the record company is out of the office until Wednesday, but I will investigate about the other territories and the iTunes exclusive song.
