Take Matters into our own hands

#

Started by Gimme Back My Brainsaw (Mike Hunt)

Right i’m fed up of all these record companie types not making much effort with this band. I know how much we all love the band on here so i’m making a proposal to all you loyal fans.

Spitifre dont seem to think its worth releasing a single let alone maki a video so other than radio how else is OCFA going to be promoted? the answer is the ‘net if it can drum up intrest in bands like the test icles and arctic monkeys then maybe we could get some intrest in t?

so how about we the fans take it into ourhands over the next few weeks to promote RHC and OCFA wheter its by posting xcomments on peoples my spaces adding banners to your website, posting on other forums, requesting them on radio or whatever its better than doing nothing.

this band deserve more than what theyre being given, so if anyone has done any promo recently post what youve done in here and if you have any ideas post it in here.
If the label see how much intrest there is in this album then maybe they’ll put more effort in.

One of the first things we could all do is email the Zane Lowe radio show requesting Rain Hits Concrete, you can email zane.lowe@bbc.co.uk Zane Lowe is often where music is played before it gets on bbc ones regular playlist, it might not work but is worth a shot.

please help, the bands future is in our hands.

What are you doing? I just a gave a whole list of sites where people can request an you give me shit, yet you want people to warm to this??
For your info I have e-mailed this zane lowe guy three times using three different e-mails so there’s my part.
I swear your just doing the exact same thing I did except with one lousy request place.

No, its not about request place, its about finding different ways to support the band, and to do the labels job for them promotion wise seeing as they’re not doing it.

There we go then folks. But you’ve got a point there brainsaw, the American radio stations probably wont have too many therapy songs available anyway…
We can give it our best though!

it may sound a bit silly but… where’s that OCFA banner?

the RHC banner is very long for most forums, could someone please do a favour and reduce it? or make a cool one for promoting OCFA or RHC?

Whats the legality of me editing the T? artwork to create something similar to Leepea’s banner, granted its promoting the band? Its just ive been in trouble for the same thing before (with a different band!), despite the fact I was doing the band a favour.

Give it a try, just write the most honest intelligent words you can to describe what the band mean to you and give reasons why they should be put in the mag more often.
