I’ve played rugby in the snow, and rain, and hail, and sun…
So, I’m used to pretty much all weather conditions!
Wonder why Dan hasn’t replied yet…
Maybe he doesn’t want to get his ass kicked by a 14 year old boy! :D

But then again, I wouldn’t really want to put Dan in hospital :D

Are you sure? I don’t think it is, but I might be wrong.

Another disadvantage: you may not touch the pc during recording, all your MSN sounds and other jingles also get recorded :).
Heheh, yeah, I can vouch for that. :D Luckily I have pretty much all the sounds deactivated on my pc anyway.

Talking ‘bout the quality degrading thing?
Yes, pretty sure. It is saved digitally on their server, then sent digitally over IP and then converted back to analog signals on the PC. If you find a way to save to digital datastream you have found the best method conerning quality. You just can’t do better than what the source provides and that is the digital datastream. Every conversion you allow in between is inevitably a source of quality loss. If you rip the soundcard signals, you allow extra noise to be added during digital to analog conversion (the soundcard uses analog signals so the digital datastream has to be converted to analog signals). Moreover, after, actually during the rip you again need to digitize the audio: analog to digital conversion needs to be done, which always gives rise to again an extra source of noise.
WM Recorder was able to rip the digital stream from the server, provided the stream was delivered to Windows Media Player for the first digital to analog conversion (I think).
But then again, the soundcard rip ain’t that bad at all of course :).

Yes, I did, and I did actually understand it, thanks. :) I’d just asumed you meant that Audacity in particular would only record at low bitrates; I hadn’t considered the digital-analog(-digital) conversion, and you are of course absolutely right. :)
Having said that, I recorded the Killing Joke gig in this way, and it sounded great. :)

I have to say though that I’m beginning to think I’m not a Neil Cooper fan.His playing on the first two older songs(that’s as far as I got)and his choice of beats and colors did not suit the stuff.I also liked them as a four piece as well but I support the boys cause they are a cool band and they do rock.Bring on OCFA!

I wonder why they went with Cooper because they said at the time, they hired Graham because he wasn’t a Stars in their Eyes Fyfe Clone - which is what they didn’t want.

Do you think Neil is just a Fyfe clone, then? I disagree, and I imagine T? do, too.
Anyway, I’d guess the’Stars…’ comment was about not getting people who were starstruck Fyfe wannabes.

Neil is no clone of Fyfe!!!
Neil is a better drummer, but Fyfe was singer on Teethgrinder :(
I prefer Fyfe singing teethgrinder. I think Fyfe has a better singing voice than Andy…

Go Neil! He’s an amazing drummer, and a friendly dude!
I also liked Fyfe’s singing on Teethgrinder … just because to drums seems so complicated and he’s singing on top of it as if it’s nothing.
Anyone seen Neil changing a drumstick during teethgrinder? I don’t know if it’s visible on the fabchannel and maybe it’s just me, I’m not a drummer, but it looks like an impossible thing to do… he does it without frowning … if it’s not on fabchannel I could maybe rip that piece of my boyfriends video… if I figure out how…

I liked Grahams playing when he was in the band.I think all three were/are good drummers with T?.I’m a really big SPYF fan and Grahams playing has alot to do with it.His playing was interesting and it wasn’t anything like Fyfe’s.Neil is closer to Fyfe’s style now than when he first joined the band.
