Good fuckin night songs

Does anyone who owns this bootleg also think the songs 9-12 are a bit strange? They don’t sound really ‘live’, don’t they? I mean, I hear 2 guitars on Trigger Inside, Knives has a sound that reminds on Helmet’s Meantime. And there a quite some lyric changes on the song. Odd.

I haven’t heard that bootleg, so can’t help you but I have the feeling that they have used tapes with that second guitar thing on stage smetimes but are you sure you hear guitar? Can it be Martin’s cello? His cello sometimes sounds like distorted guitar. Songs like Stop It You’re Killing me and Ten Year Plan are done by that way.

Track 9-12 Live in London, is written on the cover.
Perhaps they played it in an MTV show.
The Sound is to perfect for a gig, I think.

The cover says that the tracks 9-12 were recorded in London. The songs 1-8 in Glasgow (94). And those songs sound live, I mean nothing abnormal with them. I guess 9-12 were improved through studio work.

Those last 4 tracks are a John Peel session recorded in 94 - that’s why they sound like studio tracks…’cos they are! They’re great recordings too; it makes the bootleg well worth having.

Thanks for clearing that up. That four Songs make the bootleg indeed worth the buy, even though there are only 12 songs total on it. Especially Trigger Inside sounds awesome.

There’s usually one floating around on ebay. As for the BBC session tracks; I love ‘Isolation’, as Andy sings it in Ian Curtis’ style, much more so than on Troublegum. I’ve never really liked Isolation, but that version is fantastic.
