I don’t think they suck therefor… they’re just overrated.
Well, ok, the black album sucks, but every Metallica album does :p

Hi gimmeback I also dig Shameless and I listened to it today and find it far better than NANE. Certainly has greater amount of melody in it anyway, which every good rock album has in abundance indeed.

Still better than any Levellers album though, and you can’t describe it as bad - it was touched by the genius that is T?

i voted for high anxiety, too poppy as i mentioned in another thread, i don’t understand, shameless is a kick ass album, pure rock ‘n roll! all killer no filler ;) (well, expect maybe for body bag girl) and it contains probably my favorite t? song..wicked man, any fans out there of this particular song? i don’t think the song get’s the credit it deserves, it’s a work of utter genious!

i was tempted to vote Shameless, but i had to go with Pleasure Death. both great cds, but one of em had to lose.

it saddens me to see all the hate for Semi-Detatched and High Anxiety. Semi-Detatched is still my favorite. but then, Infernal Love is my second fave, and i’ve heard even the band hates that one. so maybe i’m not the best judge.

I’ve never been the biggest fan of Shameless but I had it on yesterday and don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed it as much, I was singing along to every track (including the infamous body bag girl, although the whoops at the end are a bit rubbish)! Reckon it’s therapy?s party album. Also the lyrics are pretty wordy for mr cairns and I really enjoy that, there is alot of personality in those lyrics in comparison with some other albums. I voted for high anxiety, though it’s got some great tracks on it I think Last Blast is one of their weakest album tracks.

Pleasure Death and Babyteeth, both. I think they began to find their stride on Nurse, and while that albums does have a few songs that don’t quite achieve what the I think the band intended I do think the worst song is still a good one, whereas on the previous stuff there are some downright stinkers. After Nurse, beginning with the EPs, they were beginning to kick ass and starting with Troublegum on I think they’ve created brilliant album after brilliant album. They’ve always managed to stay one step ahead of the previous record without repeating themselves and still sound like Therapy?, not an easy thing to do.

I realize because of these changes some fans will not like one album, but like others, but for me I think each album from Troublegum on is fucking excellent!

Also, it’s notable that when fans have these disparate opinions on which album or songs on an album are best, it’s usually a good indicator of a great band/album.

Some interesting opinions here! :)

Sorry but it had to be Infernal Love. Mainly due to the image. Those fake ‘taches and Mikehell’s dreadful smoking jacket are horrible, it cheapens the whole album. Musically it falls flat too. 30 Seconds is their worst song (apart from the great middle section!), Diane only has one riff going through it so its not very interesting, and Bowels Of Love is good apart from the lyrics which are a bit embarassing. I bet MIKEHELL is gonna read this and kick my ass so can i just say that I love all T? albums, they all suit a different mood but on IL there are some tracks i have to skip!! Thankyou, sorry! ;)

NB Can’t believe someone doesn’t like Last Blast - i LOVE that song!!

Brill album, but not heavy enough for me. So, if I had to choose (not easy), that would be my choice :o *waiting for backlash…*

I voted for “Nurse”, but I have to admit that I don’t really know the whole album. Something about it that never made me want to listen closer. The production is cheap and Therapy? had yet to learn how to incorporate hooks in their songs. I don’t really understand why in their diary they always mention how new songs are a return to “Nurse” as if that was a good thing. Thankfully, in the end “NANE” didn’t really sound like “Nurse” anyway and what we’ve heard from “OCFA” so far is far from it, too.

By the way, wouldn’t it make more sense to make all these best/worst polls in a few days when we all had a chance to listen to “OCFA”?

shameless 22 votes so far? cum on it may not be the best album theyve made but it certainly is NOT their worst, i do admit it is a bit of a change from the usual trademark therapy? sound, it sounds like the ramones doing rock ‘n’ roll, and stalk and slash (track 12) sounds a cross between deadstar by muse and slither by velvet revolver. still rocks like a mutherfuck. i think the whole album is underrated, then semi-detached.
