How can you say he sucked he added depth to the T? machine he made the live shows a hell of alot better and was a good guitarist and sound bloke so f##k you.

He was good on diane, but he was just a guest on that track and he should of stayed as a session artists on t? cds but not as a full time member.

I agree, It is a bit horrible.

I’m annoyed with some peoples comments on here though, to say he sucks is just naive. He contributed alot to alot of Therapy?’s albums, some of which you probably love. To disregard him as someone who “sucks” is silly. I’m no musician, but he added some diversity to the band, and there’s not many rock bands that are brave enough or can accomodate a full time cellist. I’m sure he put alot of effort in to the band, which some of you don’t seem to understand.

Martin is a great violinist and added some cool moments to therapy?. His guitar work on suicide pact is a particular fav for me. Those songs off suicide just cant be the same live without Martin.
He also keep in conatct with his fans which is so cool.

I really don’t see why some members get so pissed off when past Therapy? members are being discussed. Maybe it’s the way the question was asked? Other than that I see nothing offensive about simply opening a discussion about Martin McCarrick’s contributions to Therapy?

Personally, I love “Semi-Detached” and “Suicide Pact - You First” and on the tours with Martin Therapy? rocked so hard! (Holy shit, I just realised I never saw T? as a three piece-band. It’s going to be the first time this may.)

Anyway, the quality of the studio recordings didn’t suffer from Martin leaving. I mean, we’ll never know whether “NANE” would have sounded more diverse with Martin’s contributions (assuming that diversity is a good thing), but to me the album sounds just fine.

I didn’t vote here either - the thing is, although I prefer T? as a three-piece I, just like most people here, have a lot of respect for Martin and what he brought to the band.

Why don’t we just say Martin made T? better when it was a band that needed him on board, and when it wanted to go back to a trio it was a better band without him?

Not sure how much sense that makes, but… aah, y’know what I mean. Either way, Mr. McCarrick rocks like a sack of bastards!

I voted ‘no’ as he didn’t make Therapy? better or worse in my opinion. But it’s an easy question to ask which member added the least to it. It even seemed a bit awkward to me as to what his contributions on stage exactly were when playing material pre the predetermined two-guitar track (exceptions being Unbeliever and Diane, I guess.) I loved his studio efforts on the albums he participated on, but I can also see why the band as a whole decided to move away from that. Every possibility comes with a restriction, afterall.
