Id say its between Troublegum and Semi Detached
In fact im sure this is the record Infernal Love would of been if they diddnt try and do something different.
And Suicide Pact is the album A&M wouldnt let Semi Detached be.
I’d like to hear Semi Detached without the pop punk songs A&M made them put on it. Andy said he wanted it to be pure craziness. :D

OCFA has been the only album i’ve listened to today and it’s another triumph for the lads.My favourite songs on the album at the moment are Sprung,Dopamine,Seratonin,Adrenaline and Unconsoled.Like a lot of people here i think Heart Beat Hits is the weak track on it.It’s a very commercial sounding album i hope it does well and it think it’s already one of the albums of the year.

Finally got the album now as well (thanks to however it was who decided to ignore the release date at HMV in Dublin ;))
I really like this album - I am amazed at how the guys always churn out albums that sound nothing like the former, yet still make it sound like Therapy?
Have only heard it once so far, but at the moment I would say that “Dopamine, Seratonin, Adrenaline” is my fav track. I know it sounds somewhat cheesy, but c’mon - can you just envisage buying a few cans of beer, heading off to a field with your mates on a sunny day and just chill listening to this track? Legend…
So far none of the tracks seem filler to me - what an album. If I were to get bitchy, the only thing that I would say that is missing for me (being a metalhead) is a really fast thrashy song.
Man, I love OCFA and as per usual can rely on the lads not letting me down - never have, and never will :)

not getting the troublegum/semidetatched comparisons, its just the natrual progression from nane, which was a natrual progression from high anxiety.
Best song is sprung, would like to see them actually try varietys of tuning on the next album rather than it all just being c tuning, there kinda getting trapped in a sound, no complaints about the album by the way, just think t? have always been good due to their variety.

very disappointed. i loved NANE because it was a return to form, so i had high hopes for OCFA.
it’s just so uninspiring, where has the experimental t? gone? almost all of the songs are in the same boring mid-tempo.. i almost fall asleep listening to OCFA. where’s the variation?
with that said, i really like ‘Sprung’, great song, but that’s about it.
for me, OCFA is down there with Shameless.

Title: UPDATE
Current favourites are Into The Light, DSA, and Fear of God, though Fear of God is perhaps a little longer than it should be.
Weak points: None. Though I’ve noticed that Rain Hits Concrete is surprisingly upbeat, considering the lyrical content. Deluded Son is growing on me, now.
Not my favourite track, but Walk Through Darkness should have a video made for it, and shown on the music channel’s until everyone is sick of it. ;)
Just nobody ask me if it’s better than NANE, because I don’t want to have to choose. :(

Something about this album makes me feel good, the suns out, the windows open and the album is blasting out. Fair play to the boys for making such a great record

I think the whole album sounds very semi-detatched era. Personally, I think there’s some great tracks on it, but as a whole (while still good) isn’t Therapy? at their best. I really think the album suffers severly from the production- standard, synthetic sounding guitars, there’s no clarity in the bass (just a low rumble for the most part) and the drums have no impact whatsoever, unlike NANE. I do like the fact that you can tell they recorded it ‘live’, though. I agree, though, it’s early days yet and it may grow on me- these are just initial responses, and despite it’s flaws, I can’t see a better album being released this year.

my current opinion:
it is definately a grower. i thought it was another high anxiety for a while but am really starting to like it now.
for me, HA was a poor record with some real stand out tracks on it, but OCFA seems to be more consistent (albeit without any real classics).
i don’t think it will beat NANE for me though - i liked the edgy sound and the fact that it was in parts pretty uncommercial. OCFA is definately a lot more poppy. not necessarily a bad thing i guess, but less my style of music.

Yeah, am liking deluded son as well. Still loving the album. Will agree with some other comments that the album is playing it a bit safe, but I think in a good way. If only there was more effort in promoting it and I think the lads would be in with a shot of getting back into the public eye. Oh well, time will tell.
All in all a gread effort and I find myself listening to all songs back to back with enjoyment.

Bollocks to experimenting with other websites, back to play for the next one.

At first i thought the last few tracks weren’t the best but even Heart Beat Hits grows on you (still probably the weakest track tho) The production too concerned me at first - the guitars are pretty loud in the mix - but once you get used to it it sounds realy good (especially through head phones) Also worth mentioning the playing (especially the drumming) and the vocals are better than on NANE
Best tracks for me would be
Sprung
Lose it all
DSA
Unconsoled
Our White Noise
Cant wait to hear these tracks live too - they all sound as though they would kick proper ass

Time to add my part. I’ve been enjoying this since Saturday. First listen I liked, but didn’t get into it too much. Third listen and it hasn’t stopped.
Stand out tracks for me have to be Deluded Son and Private Nobody. But the others all come close. Sprung would of been there too, except when T? first put it on their myspace I added it to my profile and listened to it too much… which is shame since I really liked it. But yeah great album, going to try and convince my friends to get it now!

i think it’s a great album, the best one since shameless, all the songs flow well, there’s no filler at all and it contains some songs that will turn classic in 3/4 years time. i think no one mentioned the song “fear of god” it’s so kick ass it’s hurts. best t? song since wicked man probably, the downside is that sometimes the choruses repeat 2 many times, like in private nobody (worst song on the record), rain hits concrete, walk trough darkness..etc
does anybody else think that a sample of some sort would fit just PERFECT in walk trough darkness (at 3:20) as the drums kick in? i’ve been thinking this since i got the record…it may sound stupid to you guys tough…
