EURO

#

Started by infernalover

so what do you think about it?
i think it’s great to go across europe with one cash…
the only bad thing is that the coins are too big in value (i mean that a coin of 2 euro is too big: the ‘biggest’ italian coin were 1000 lire and the value in euro of this is 0.50 EURO circa… so…)
…but now i can buy a beer with ONE coin… ok…

I don’t think the coins are to big in value. In fact, I think those 1 and 2 cent coins are going to be a pain in the ass! And how about those 5 Euro banknotes, they look like toy-banknotes. But it’s indeed convenient that you can pay with one currency across Europe.

I’m also happy with the Euro, I just don’t like it that every product in the supermarket is going up in price to make a nice round price of it.

I think the 5 eurio bill is the only one not looking like toy money. But the coins really are a pain in the ass. Went out to get a few CD’s today and the seller almoust went mad about them. Anyway, I think it’s a great thing.

i also think that EURO is a great thing. i dont care that 13,7603 Austrian Schillings are 1 EURO, i just really hate those fucking coins. why cant they do something like in the USA: 1 EURO (<— dollar) Bill and to have a 1,5,10,25 cent coin.

for reals, the 2, 20 cent coins are absolutely fucking bullshit. i mean, who cares if u pay 2 x 10c or 1x 20c. and they are so tinny anyway, that u hardly can tell the difference between those too!!!

Wow Stephan, you are working in the bank…
Yesterday I wanted to change my money at the bank, the first bank we left, because we didn’t wanted to wait till OUTSIDE the bank. And the second bank we went to, had a number system, so we got number 372 and they where still at 312… we went shopping for over an hour and then got back and the number was 369… just in time and we had a good smile on our face and all the waiting people looked really grumpy to us…
Good luck with the next weeks working at the bank…

Dunno where you got that from, but I haven’t seen many men carrying purses around here. Must be one of those prejudices, like Holland is full of windmills, everybody wears clogs over here, and there are tulips as far as the human eye can reach!

Anyone collecting the different coins from all over Europe?

I myself collect the 1-EURO-coins and have all of them except Portugal, Finland, San Marino, Vatican and Monaco. The last three ones are pretty hard to get…
