Not sure if I would classify Therapy?’s slow songs as ballads (well, not in the sense of cheesy Bon Jovi or Motley Crue tunes anyways), but went for “Long Distance” - what a monster of a melodic chorus :)

Yeah, ballads might not be the right word. And I love long distance, the best song on NANE by miles (long distance lolz!) but you can’t beat Diane.

diane and six mile water are my favourite therapy? songs, i voted for six mile water for this. The lines “me and you used to be like brothers, on the nights we got drunk to each other, you know me i used to have some wit, it ended up in a shit filled sandpit” are amongst Andy’s most emotive words i think.

I would have chosen Gone, which really strikes a nerve, but I chose Long Distance for this poll.

Wish people would do a little research before setting this poll up.

Thats a ballad is it?! So whats Flying Without wings that that boyband done? This is dumb! Even T? would laugh if they saw that any of their songs would be considered ballads - just because some of there tunes aren’t angry!

What is a ballad,anyway, really?
OED says “1 a poem or song telling a popular story. 2 a slow sentimental or romantic song”

and wordweb says:
“Noun: ballad

1. A narrative song with a recurrent refrain”

But I’m never sure what people actually mean when they say it?

Just thinkin about a Moment of clarity and it is a beautiful song…very romantic haha. But when i hear six mile water, hearing where Andy is singing about makes it even more cool in a strange way, so for me its a great ballad.
