Not too rare of an item. You paid the average price for it.

Another questions… a lot of you people always talk about is it rare and how much is it worth and I paid this for it…

Does that matter? Does it make the product mean more for you?

Right. I sense a bit of a bitching in your replies. It’s obvious that Tubbs is just beginning to collect T? items, it is very natural that he is asking ‘is that rare’ ‘how much is it worth’ and all these questions. I was just like that when i started collecting and i bet that all of you were like that too. Give him a break.

I have to agree with Pretender and nice guys that the most annoying thing on this topic are these questions ‘is this rare’ and ‘what is it worth’… I usually go through the recordsellers in the net to find the price on records and how rare they are.
I guess that some of us wasn’t like that trigger, my girl friend has always said that I will buy ANYTHING if the item has Therapy? written on it and that is true… And I’m only interested if I can afford it and the price is good to me.

hi trigger, i agree with you if somebody’s looking for a special item to add to his/her collection but tubbs seems to me as if he was only interested in selling things for good price. i’m not tired of reading how much the different w.o.m. members have paid for certain vinyls or cds but it’s really annoying if you get the impression that money means more than t?’s music.

tubbs, don’t get me wrong, that’s nothing personal! okay?

you see, ive been a therapy? for for a little over 3 years, all i want to do is make sure im not being ripped off, it seems to me that you guys are the people to ask! anyway, as for that comment about selling my stuff how dare you! i NEVER sell therapy? stuff AT ALL. it does not happen. im enquiring so i know what i should expect to pay for stuff, its exciting knowing i have something rare that only a few fans have…it makes it more special you know what i mean? im not a fly-by-night fan or some twat looking to make a few quid..im a serious fan so lay off me a tad, eh? as far as i am concerned Therapy? are THE finest, most inventive, interesting and exciting bands ever to emerge from the british rock scene and they piss all over the american ‘nu-metal’ shite that is currently polluting our airwaves…Therapy? for No.1!!

Yeah, I agree that it’s nice to have a rare item. That goes for everybody I think, so I think his questions are very normal. I was wondering the same thing for the Semi-Detached boxset, although there are 3,000 copies of it, so most of you must have it. And about that money thing: I really love Therapy?, but I’ll never pay large amounts of money to obtain an item like Bad Mother. A while ago, someone paid something like $250 for Bad Mother. That’s pretty sick I’d say, I can do a lot more things with my money that are way more fun than buying Bad Mother, that’s for sure!

For some people, it’s exciting to have something considered rare. I take great pride in my collection and the fact that I have some ‘rare’ items.

I can understand if people want to know if they were ripped off or not. I just started collecting T? items and I sure did pay some nice prices for some stuff. (my girlfriend actually said that I’m a complete idiot when it comes to Therapy?)
But anyway, even if I could get these things for less, I’m happy I have them and I sure as hell won’t give them away.

I’m new to this website and reading all your comments and stuff about your T? collections, but obviously money is a factor. I’ve been a fan of T? ever since i saw them being interviewed while they were recording ‘PLEASURE DEATH’, and have been collecting T? stuff for years. I have most of the items you mentioned and have never had to pay more than 20 quid for any of them.
There is no way I would pay some of the prices people are paying.

i really understand ‘tubbs’. i mean that i also just started collecting T?-stuff like an year ago, and i appreciated very much when you guys gave me some info on couple cds, vinyls,…
but the thing is, that i really hate when somebody is selling a DIE LAUGHING CDS for like 15 Bucks. and that is like way to much. and maybe there is some guy who started collecting T?-CDS, buys that cd and gets really ripped off like hell. so i think to get some information on T?-items isnt bad at all.
‘understand me…’

Like donVutz, I am considered obsessive in my Therapy? collection. I recently paid £50 for Meat Abstract 7’ - yes it was expensive but most definitely worth it. I got into Therapy? in early ‘94 so unlike Jobrok I didn’t manage to get some items when they were first released.

Money isn’t a factor at all, I don’t go around saying ‘my Therapy? collection is worth £xxx’. I simply say that I really truly love them and it’s important to me to have as much memorabilia as possible, because I am interested in seeing it and treasuring it - just call it a hobby like stamp collecting or whatever ;)

Fair enough paying 50 quid for Meat Abstract, I’d probably pay it too. But some of the prices being asked for more recent releases are ridiculous.
