First of all you’re very luckly to see Therapy? performing live,as here in Italy I don’t think they are coming. well.. there are a lot of great songs in the album after Troublegum, in Infernal love I like Epilepsy, misery, stories 30 Seconds..then Semy - Detached has great songs such as lonely, cryin’only, or straight life, black eye sky and don’t expect roses, you should listen to them.
Suicide Pact - you first is quite different I think, but there are good songs, but I think they’re going to play a lot of new songs contained in Shameless so you should listen to it but this album is another thing don’t expect something like Troublegum!. About the concert it depens where they play, in fact here in Italy, tha band doesn’t play a lot because of the local’s owner but Therapy? concerts are always energetic!!Please after the concert tell me how it was and what you think! Bye and have fun!

You missed a lot! all albums are quite unique, my favs at the moment are Semi Detached (lonely cryin’ only, don’t expect roses and safe my favs here) and Shameless (this one’s for you, gimme back my brain, Tango Romeo, Dance, Body Bag girl)

Like Elisa I think you can expect a lot from shameless, a little SP-YF (not a bad album, but not my favorite) perhaps Tightrope walker, lonely cryin’ only or something from SD, perhaps Diane new style (or old (husker du)style, what you prefer) from Infernal Love, probebly stories (Infernal Love is an excellent album especially Misery is a rocking song), surely Nowhere and Unbeliever and some screamaging…aaaaaaaaaaaaaah I think you’ll have a wonderfull time! Just have fun!

What to expect; Nowhere, Screamager, Die Laughing, Knives, Teethgrinder, I am the Money, Gimme back my brain, He’s not that kind of girl, Diane, Stories, Church of Noise, Lonely Cryin Only …these are all certainties. They’ll probably play some new shit as well.

it’s funny how elisa picked the worst songs on infernal love as the best. other than troublegum, i reccomend these songs : our love must die (not the live version), skyward (new version), close my eyes, me vs. you, a moment of clarity, bowels of love, bad mother, diane, lonely cryin only, fantasy bag, gone, innocent x (live), dancin with manson, potato junkie, prison breaker, etc … i personally like neck freak but it takes a while to get used to for some people (kind of like the caucasian psychosis = pleasure death / babyteeth albums which i like the best next to troublegum). troublegum b sides that sound like troublegum songs that you’d like are : opal mantra, evil elvis, auto surgery, totally random man, breaking the law, etc … don’t listen to the songs these people rccomend. they have horrible taste in music

best therapy albums (not including the best of cd) go like this :

-troublegum
-infernal love
-caucasian psychosis or pleasure death / babyteeth (takes a while to get used to)
-nurse (takes a while to get used to
-semi detached (takes a while to get used to. ok album but not great. listening to suicide pact you first and shameless made me go back to this album and actually like and appreciate it in comparison)
-suicide pact you first (horrible album. only ok songs are six mile water and sister)
-shameless (horrible album..not even one good song)

I can *highly* recommend the live version of Our Love Must Die, especially the one on Dead Laughing (there’s another one on the Crossing Border cd). It’s even better than the recorded version, but that’s a matter of personal taste I guess…

C’mon, guyz, if somebody asks to be ‘updated’ you’re not gonna start about b-sides!! It’s plain simple, listen to Semi-Detached and Shameless and forget about Suicide Pact. Only try the latter if you’re really getting into Therapy? again…

cheers,
TW

or in case you don’t own the cd:

Quote (author unknown):

It was winter, it was cold
I was lost in the world of my own
I was bent double at the end of the road
Pissing my suicide note in the snow
Yeah, yeah, yeah

I’d stopped the world and I was getting off
When a white flash nearly made my heart stop
I said “this is either Jesus, aliens or cops”
It was neither, it was Joey Dunlop
Yeah, yeah, yeah

So hats off
For Joey Dunlop

One day you’ll go to the great big bar in the sky
Everybody’s free, everybody flies
The greats gonna be there, you wouldn’t wanna miss it
Me, George Best and Hurricane Higgins
Yeah, yeah, yeah

So hats off
For Joey Dunlop
Auh!

Yeah!
So hats off, hats off
For Joey Dunlop

btw- to get back on the original subject of this thread Alan was pretty accurate with his guess on a setlist. here’s what they played at the esbjerg show in case anyone’s interested:

Gimme Back My Brain
Hellbelly
Lonely Cryin Only
This One’s For You
Die Laughing
Tango Romeo
He’s Not That Kind Of Girl
Stalk & Slash
Isolation
Diane
Joey
Knives
Screamager
Ten Year Plan
*** ENCORE ***
Potato Junkie [jam]
‘Unknown’ [jam]
Potato Junkie
Nowhere

ps: the show seriousy kicked ass. also the opening band sub-urban tribe. sad that so few people (30-40 people?) showed up…

oh and irishlady, i just made your cds today. now i just need to make myself move down to the mailbox :)
