You should be able to — just bear in mind flight delays etc! Check out rail services with http://www.nationalrail.com and then once you’ve got into London (on the Stanstead express, for example, but perhaps another service would suit), check out the journey planner on http://www.tfl.gov.uk.

Thanks for the links my friend, we´ll check them out! Yes, you never know about any delays with flights, customs etc. in forhand..
Hope we clear something out. Last summer´s Motörhead trip to London was so fine and this time it would be excellent to see Therapy? play there.

It’s not really a festival, more like an exhibition of guitars and people witH guitars showing off. There will be a smallish stage where bands play. Though the line up isn’t very appealing(excluding T?)

I don’t think that Therapy? will play for an hour, as there is this info on the London Guitar Show’s site

Quote (author unknown):

Capacity for the main hall is 2500 and operates on a first come, first served basis so we apologise if you are denied access due to full capacity. No extra tickets are required, but because we have to clear the hall between each act you may have to join a queue before access is allowed. The Grand Hall is a seated venue.

So it this is true, there is absolutely no time them to play for and hour, maybe for 30 minutes or maybe for 45 minutes as they have to change the equipment (or is that in musicians terms “backline”?) and clear the hall.

So my GUESS is that this is not a “real” gig. More like a showcase.

We were at the similiar fair in Finland sometime ago (Finnish Metal Expo) and there was bands playing on each hour and the stupid part was that they changed equipment for an half an hour and bands played a dodgy 30 minutes. Only 3 last acts played full hour. Plus they didn’t clear the hall from people.

But anyways have a great event!!!

I’ve mailed the organisation a while ago, to see if it was worth it to go to London for this and they say they play a 40 minute set.

Only forty mins:( So 80 mins total…Damn, when will they confirm more dates? Think we have to consider moving to Netherlands as it seems to be the best area for T? Just spoke with my friends who live in Den Haag and they are also going to both gigs in Holland. Shame that we cannot attend the Dam and Tilburg ones as those dates don´t suite in our plan. Guess we have pay lot´s of money to see at least those forty minutes in London:eek:

I think that to see T? 80 minutes in total on 2 days and paying a trip, accomodation, tickets is way too expensive even though it is in London.
I would be saving my money to trip with like 3-4 days in a row, even if the gigs are in different cities. It is such a unique feeling to be in new town for the first time and try to look hotel and gig venue there. Well, atleast to me that is more attractive… :D

Oh, and Kossu I’m more than sure that there WILL be more dates than these 4. Just have to wait and see. That reminds me that I must harrass mister Merimaa who run Tavastia-Club in Helsinki by e-mail. :D

We haven´t buried our plan to travel to London yet:) but soon it would be nice to get more dates announced, that´s for sure!
Maby we should start again an e-mail campaign to Mr Merimaa like we did a couple of years ago:D
