it’s “only” the indie chart, but better than nothing!

Out-sold by Taking Back Sunday, Wolfmother and Joe Satriani, all with new entries. And somehow, and I am amazed by this — by American Idiot which is now about 7 years old…

Dunno,

Don’t see singles being that important - video and some promotion might help.

Folks, at least the album is selling. Don’t you think that’s more important than chart placings?

I take it 1488 are the sales? I think in terms of sales that is fairly decent - surprised it has entered that low as I thought 1000 copies tended to be enough to get into the top 75.

True a chart placing isn’t a glorified thing to such an awesome band that is Therapy? but sells are important and sometimes need to stand out in order to attracted certain crowd i.e. this generation.
I’m sure this band wouldn’t like to be cut loose when they’re still making and could make more truly inspiring albums. They deserve to be more recognised I think.

Can’t wait for the weekend when I see T? at the London Guitar Show. I think the new stuff should really kick live.

Im a bit disappointed to be honest but you can’t force people to go and buy stuff. Unless you have a gun. Or a close family member kidnapped (theirs - not yours!)

Does anyone know where NANE went in?

Well, I would have bought it in England like I’ve done the others (mainly because I still lived there), but I couldn’t bear waiting for the postage time! So that’s one fewer UK sale accounted for. And I’m assuming the 1488 only applies to those chart-registered shops, not the little mungo ones. You shouldn’t forget too, that Therapy? are up against the bands who get their records in Tescos so that idiots can go round and go “ooh, David Gray” when they’re buying their Corn Flakes rather than setting foot inside a record shop and seeing the alternatives.
