OCFA wouldn’t copy to my mp3 player but then it did so don’t worry about it.

Is it just me? I can rip the (bought) CD to my PC but then it refuses to copy…I don’t have a problem with any other CDs :(

I don’t have one of these new-fangled MP3 players, but OCFA copied to my mindisk just fine. It’s different software, but it does mean that there’s surely no copy protection on it.

My MD copy of the RHC ep doesn’t work, though, but I think that’s just beacuse my player is old and fucked.

No, like I say, it does rip to PC which I’m assuming it wouldn’t do if it was copy protected. I’ve just copied a load of CDs over today (got the player last week), and it’s the only one that didn’t work! :(

good, music of this quality shouldnt be listened to on mp3 as significant losses in audio quali

The fact is…

Some of us have to listen to music on the go. It won’t be the same as shoving the CD on your stereo, but it’s still there.

My OCFA CD hasn’t been out of my car for weeks. But then I ripped OCFA to my PC in loseless format, ie. the song’s filesizes are fucking huge! And I have a good speaker system on my computer, so everything is alright. :)

Dunno,

What type of player do you have?

I use a creative zen and usually rip CDs from Windows Media Player otherwise - no probs at all to be honest, and trust me, have had my annoying experiences with copy protected CDs

As for the whole “MP3s don’t have the same quality” debate - guys, in a way this is true, but only at a volume that exceeds what you would pump through your personal stereo or headphones. Jeez, get over it…

Can you change the thread title as it’s now redundant and I wouldn’t like people to keep answering a question I no longer need an answer to - like KJC Dublin, cheers anyway mate ;)
