b-sides album

#

Started by Graeme55? (Graeme Williams)

i thought seeing as a lot of people still havent heard most of the b-sides t? have made in the past years, i thought we cud pressure the record company or something like that. i for one wud love it if they did a b-sides album. who agrees?

(Before changing the message boards’ software in August 2007 this discussion contained a poll, which may return in the future)

Gee… they’ve got SO MANY B-sides, that some would definitely be left out :( It’d have to be a double album, at least…

I put all the b-sides on CD for myself.

Took up 5 disks.

And that’s only up to HIGH ANXIETY.

How about making them all available for download via this ‘ere site?

That way, people who have gaps in their collections can pick and choose which ones they want instead of a B Sides album with the inevitable missing tracks.

This would all depend on the record labels involved all pulling together and showing willing, but seeing as it would mean more money for them (maybe not a vast amount, but still), you’d hope they’d all give it the go-ahead.

I think an American fan already asked this question (was amongst the top questions put to the band on that pole some months ago) and Andy replied that it would not be possible due to the different record companies etc.

Would be great to have though.

:D I think my collection has been out-classed by Rene’s, once he received those disks (how many was it?) of rare tracks from Andy to put in the audio section!

If that’s a no-go then, hows-about we all push for them to be available for download (payable, same as RHC or Rock You Monkeys)?

After all, even if a dedicated T? fan goes off and buys all the old singles, they’ll get them off eBay or whatever, they will be second hand and the band gets naff all from the sale, so to all intents and purposes they may as well just have downloaded them illegally.
At least a legal download area on this ‘ere site would generate a bit of fag* money for the band!

That was a bootleg, and it was a heap of shit… some of the songs were accidently chopped at the start; a real sign of a cheap mastering job.

Opal Mantra EP, Born in a Crash mini-LP, Perversonality promo

Not exactly new, but newer than the Nurse version ;)

Aye, it says “new” recording in brackets after (I think I have it on the Perversonality EP) but it’s obviously not “new” no more! It’s absolutely rockin’ I think.

Why would they need to re-record it again? The ‘93 version is true class, they’d never improve on it.

Just forgot about the version on Born in a Crash and assumed that this was different recording.

Where’s Kids Stuff from???

I’ve got pretty much all the stuff, so I should make own b-side album soon. The acoustic version of Misery definitely should be included as well.

I’d rather wait for a rarities/b side album later in their career, a Therapy? boxset would be great with b side, out takes from studio recordings, candid live/studio dvd footage and some halarious pictures spanning their whole career and the people involved from start to finish - that would be cool!! But as i tend to think of these things coming out when bands have split, I’d gladly wait for a few more years, or atleast until michael has gone totally bald!!!;)

I should be able to find the Lonely Crying Only single quite easily, I’ve got the CD of LCD with Hign Noon and the new version of Diane on, I haven’t seen the other CD around for a while, but I’m gonna track down - must own every Therapy? song!!!!

Incidently on the subject of rare stuff, I just bought the Opal Mantra ep yesterday, paid £5 for it, but worth it for a non-album single, taking my total of Therapy? singles to 15, still a few to go, but closing in on the full collection!
