Like I am not saying that you have to like everything that Therapy? has ever done, but dunno why you find this record so bad.
Anyways, can’t wait to see the tracks live, am sure they will kick ass.

It’s not that bad, no, just isn’t as good as I expected after the last three great albums.
Still a good album, though.

Yeah, for me it is still going up with OCFA, but I guess it reaches the stage where an album is hard to top indeed.

I’m glad to see people are seeing the record for what it is now the newness has worn off slightly.
Don’t get me wrong I still love this band, but I was very disappointed with OCFA.
The opening salvo of Sprung and Deluded Son is the best in AGES, but for me it’s all downhill from there, picking up strong at Our White Noise, and Heart Beat Hits; OCFA’s longevity in the live set will show it’s longterm value.

That sounds like you are suggesting it is good because everyone else likes it, and consequently undermining ones opinion.

What is your favourite Therapy? album then?
Just interested - I don’t think that OCFA would appeal to big fans of SPYF.

It changes but the 1 that i keep going back because its the most intriguing sonically is Nurse, though Tgum is what got me into them and will be in my top 3 album list 4 ever!
I’m not going to stop liking T? just because of OCFA, i thought HA and NANE were both great - its just that this time around i think they’ve missed the target. The songs are angsty but without any real venom aimed anywhere which makes the lyrics seem misplaced, the tunes are dark and samey throughout which makes them seem unfocused and the vocals and riffs are a bit out of date in that 3 colors Red/Catherine Wheel/Headswim kind of way. It makes them sound like a bit of a tribute to Britrock, without having been there - which we all know isn’t the case. I expected much more forward thinking and instead they’ve gone backwards. Walk Through Darkness for example sounds like it should have been a massive football anthem; but its droning vocals and guitars drag it down (and a big no-no in this age of anti-anthems). A disappointment on every level i feel and probably their worst album. Never mind though, they’ve created 2 AMAZING albums this century so far and i’m sure more will come. 1.5/5

I feel differently, but understand why you wouldn’t like it then.
BTW - Nurse is also my fav :D

I was listening to NANE yesterday actually, and then I put on OCFA afterwards, and I gotta say I enjoyed OCFA a lot more.
Rain Hits Concrete, Fear Of God and Heartbeat Hits are all duff tracks imo, but the rest more than makes up for it.

Have been listening to fairly constantly for a while now and the first listen i really enjoyed it - and there are some very good tracks on this record, that will only get better when people here them live. However when i compare album for album of the Spitfire records i have to say that its not as good but then again i HATED NANE when it came out - now i bloody love it.
Still think that its too early to say that its not a definitive record. American Idiot was a shite album with 1 good song on and thats probably Green Days biggest selling album - but then again we haven’t been told to like OCFA like with had with American Idiot :D
