The Big Issue gave it an alright one - 3 stars. I think it’s meant to be out of 5 but T? did best out of all the album reviews. Was pretty chuffed just to see them in there at all :D

German magazine VISIONS has a review of OCFA in its newest issue. While I appreciate that the magazine kinda promoted “Suicide Pact” when it came out, I hate how much it downplays anything the band has done since. The reviewer who listened to OCFA didn’t really seem to care. He wrote that “Rain Hits Concrete” and “Deluded Son” are Therapy?’s failed attempts at writing happy feel good songs. Hello? “All you optimists can kiss my ass”. How much more feel good does it get?

OCFA got four axes of five which is pretty good. It was reviewed in an Finnish metal mag called Inferno.
The guy who reviewed it said that T? has got it own special sound which is easy to regonize and he hailed Andy´s vocals on the album.
Nice to see that T? got mentioned in Finnish press:)

Title: France loves Therapy? !!! (merged)

Just an OCFA review of a french mag : Versus.
It is undoubtedly the best mag of independant rock in France : Excellent reviewers, no compromises and a fair editorial speach.

I can not translate all the review (my english is so bad), so in advance excuse me but nevertheless maybe someone will be able to do this boring job.

But in abstract it is a true “declaration of love” to our 3 Irish men! Really a relevant point of view!

Versus
Therapy-One cure fits all
Score : 9/10

YEAAAA! Thanks Versus!

Therapy? – One cure fits all / Spitfire Records / 2006

Translation:

The Irish group rose that prominence at the start of the nineties with the impecible ‘Troublegum’ return with their nineth disc. Therapy?’s career has been full of high and lows, they’ve never achieved a disc as rounded as the previous mentioned, and there’s always been exceptions among their works such as “Shameless” and “Semi-Detatched”. The group lead by Andy Cairns is characterised by incorporating many styles into their sound, that go from rock to metal, from pop to punk and grunge. Their sound is one of diversity and the proof is in songs such as “Lose It All”, “Our White Noise” or “ Walk Through Darkness”.
Above all, on “One Cure Fits All”, the Belfast group opt for an aggressive sound, filled with metallic riffs and unhinging drums. While this is not their best album, it is a disc that will be enjoyed live alongside jewels from the past like “Church of Noise”, “Knives”, “Nowhere” and “Trigger Inside”.

The Q review was utter bollocks.

” Men in their 30’s ( Andy is 40 ) shouldnt be making music this noisy ”

Lemmy is fucking 60 and hes still going strong and Motorhead are the loudest band there is.

” Why try make a comeback now ? ”

They never went away ? High Anxiety and Never Apologise Never Explain sold really well according to Andy Cairns, and their popularity is increasing again steadily ( source : magazine at London Guitar Show, also features full page OCFA advert  )

” Trying to recapture their glory days ”

Nope. Just carrying putting out great records that true music fans, and loyal Therapy? fans enjoy, rather than buying the new Athlete album because Q or NME told us to, even though Athlete are diabolical music.

Yet if the foo fighter’s spilt tomorrow Q would have a special edition praising the band as a great “hard” rock band

Yet Q seem to want a Gun’s n Rose’s to reform *ucking cunts

If it’s not in the charts there not interested so I’m not interested in them because they know nothing about music wankers

I’ll e-mail the cunt who did that review if I can get my hands on his/her e-mail address

Yeah, I seem to remember an almost identical review from Q for Suicide Pact. In fact I think they just use the same review each time and cut and paste the album name. Certain magazines just get offended when bands keep going and going despite being very uncool and completely off the chart radar.

Bad T? reviews aside, Q is a horrible magazine, worse even than the NME. The most sychophantic load of dribble I’ve ever read. Almost withouth exception praise is heaped on the big release of the month (Red Hot Chillis this time I think), speaking out against an album that is certain to be huge is almost unheard of.

I totally agree. Awful music journalism. Q is a joke.

They also said Therapy? are a poor mans Ministry?! What the fuck does that mean? I swear the reviewer didn’t listen to the album for more than a few seconds per track.

In relation to the whole ‘Kerrang! is for losers’ thing, at least Kerrang! had the balls to only give the new Chillis album 3 out of 5, and say it is too long and highly flawed. Good luck ever seeing the likes of Q do that.

It would be like NME admitting Pete Doherty is a useless, talent- free junkie twat who deserves to be locked up.

:o Instead they name him the second most inspirational rock star that has ever lived.

Shower of Shit.

Seems spot on in the sense that Therapy? played it safe with OCFA which I can understand given what Andy wrote regarding the financial situation of the band.

Another risky album (not necessarily a bad thing) could have probably spelled the end of the band.

They need new fans, I think they are more likely to get them with OCFA than with an album like NANE (love it) or SPYF (love it also).

Good on the man for not slating the band.
