No, I thought Therapy? were deadly! Slayer & SOAD were class as well (notice how it started raining during “Raining Blood”??? scary…), but I thought Tool were a bit slack - just 1 song off Aenima!!? I think they’re over-rated.

Gimme, Hellbelly, Die Laughing, Not that kind of girl, Stalk & Slash, Isolation, Church of Noise, Joey, Potato Junkie, Knives, Screamager, Nowhere … maybe a little too much off Troublegum, but it was good fun anyway. They also did a few bars of Iron Man & Master of Puppets, which were cool

Every1 just had a good jump araound when T? came on.
They played a very lively set, as you can see from the list above. The slowest song they played was DIE LAUGHING. Every1 was singing along to all the songs. And I mean every1…!!!!!!

Martin played the IRON MAN bit on his cello.
It wasn’t a bar from Master of Puppets. Andy asked if every1 was looking forward to the “Gods Of Metal, SLAYER”, and then played a Slayer riff as the intro to Nowhere, instead of the normal one. I think it was Nowhere anyway.

It actually seemed like they wee only on for 15 minutes, their set was so lively.

SLAYER, slayed!!!! And SYSTEM, well! as they made evry1 chant, they fucked the system. The big surprise for me were DROWNING POOL. They were fuckin’ brilliant. I didn’t think too much of their song, Bodies. But they kicked ass on stage.

TOOL were very poor! Depended too much on the visuals they had on the big screens to accompany the songs. Maynard was painted head to toe in blue, and didn’t move from on top of a box where he was perched, for the hour and a half. The rest of the band did fuck all either.
Great songs! Great albums! Poor stage presence…

OZZY should know better than to play 2 days ina row. Especially at his fuckin’ age.

Title: Ozzfest

Therapy? were the best there for me. Where I was in the crowd they seemed into it, I know I was. Andy was definetly the best entertainer there. There was actually a very suprising number of people with T? shirts etc going around, I thought they had unfortunetly faded away.
They’re certainly the best Irish band for a long long time, pity they are just ignored as has beens.

Tool were very good I thought, its really opinion with Tool, some people really like what they do and others hate it. I certainly wouldn’t look down on people who don’t like em because to many people take that pretentious attitude with them. I wasn’t into the visuals my eyes were welded shut for it. Opiate was the odd song out for sure, and my personal favourite.

I’ve seen Slayer before and I wasn’t into it then and they didn’t do it for me this time either. Most people seemed to love them though which was great. System of a Down were suprisingly good, didn’t like there albums much they definetly knew how to get a crowd going, and the bassist in the Clutch shirt had my instint approval. Drowning Pool were great, nothing original but got the place moving. On the second stage Skin Dive were the highlight.

All In all well worth 60 Euro, unfortunete with no Ozzy however.
Oh, Ill Ninio or whoever they were totally appauling, to put them on after T? was quite funny if a little saddening.

Nope, Il Nino definately came on directly after Therapy?. Oh, and I’m certain Therapy? played a bit of “Master of Puppets” - they played it on their recent Scandinavian tour as well.

Title: The Fest

I thought T? were really good, maybe the fact they were on fairly early was why the overall crowd wasn’t too excited, though certain areas were pretty mad. They tried hard to get the crowd excited after the depression of no ozzy, they were pretty successful and left the crowd well excited for the other following acts.

As for tool, i thought they were orgasmically good, maybe cause i’m really into laterlus at the minute. But for a live performance it was absolutly amazing, the visual aspects were very excellent especially when it got dark. It was perfect for the mood I was in at the time, I was pretty knackered.

System of a down were really good. Had the crowd going really mad. I was also surprised by mushroomhead which I to my surprise really enjoyed. Was disappointed at the main man not being there, in my opinion he was a bit depressed at the shitiness of ozzfest uk. Still woulda liked to have seen zakk wylde there on his own if ozzy was sick, he could have filled in (or maybe him and ozzy just went on one fuck of a bender).

Anyway I really enjoyed the gig minus ozzy, woulda been so great if he’d played.
