Meaning of the words ‘I am the money’

I want to understand what does it mean. My British friend couldn’t help me. :( Please, somebody…

If so then it wouldn’t have been the best thing for very long. Poor old knife. One moment you’re invented, and everyone is proclaiming you the best thing since bread. Then barely a minute goes by when someone works out how to slice bread. ‘This is the best thing since the invention of the knife!’
