I don’t agree with that. Coupled with the previous line “Don’t call me honey” I think its more someone just paying for some company but is treating it like a business expense.

If so then it wouldn’t have been the best thing for very long. Poor old knife. One moment you’re invented, and everyone is proclaiming you the best thing since bread. Then barely a minute goes by when someone works out how to slice bread. ‘This is the best thing since the invention of the knife!’

i think it means ‘I am the one you’ve been looking for’. As in the American catchphrase where ‘hitting the money’means finding the jackpot :)
