I would lose respect for Slash if he went crawling back to GNR now.
Would a rat return to a sinking ship ?

Axl’s appetite for destruction.
Our Swedish sources have pieced together what happened in Stockholm the night Axl Rose got arrested. The show, panned by Swedish media as “an OK joke. No more, no less” finished around 11pm and Axl was driven to the Opera Cafe, where G N’R management had paid a crowd of blondes to greet the band, and had pre-ordered loads of Jack Daniels, kept “somewhere between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius.”
The partying continued at the Hotel Rival, owned by Benny from Abba, until about 8am when management called the police to ask Axl to go to bed. This is when Axl lost it, breaking the hotel bar’s mirror, and biting the leg of a security guard, who was then sent for a tetanus injection, as if bitten by a dog.

Man, that is so funny, thinking of Slash sitting down at the kitchen table late November, writing all his christmas cards… :D

Slash seems happy enough with Velvet Revolver as far I can tell.

It may be making a big assumption, but I always thought that Slash just wanted to be in a hard rock band and Axl went off on an egotistical trip. You know “I am a songwriter, an artist, Dear, I must follow my muse…Give me pianos, I am feeling strings…I need an orchestra, dammit, why oh why oh why am I surrounded by imbeciles with no VISION?!”
now Slash has his (successful) hard rock band again, why would he wanna go back to having the same old conversations?:
“Um, yeah Axl, Ok…we WILL do the wanky twelve minute flute part but THEN can I have a fucking guitar solo, PLEASE?!”

Fair point, but its the songs, bro. I don’t believe that given the opportunity he would turn down the chance to get up there and knock out sweet child, paradise city, jungle, et al. I honestly believe they’ll reform at some point.

Well, put it in those terms, the (early) GnR stuff pisses on the VR dross from a great height. Still, they could do them in VR, couldn’t they? I know they do a few already but…?
Or maybe it’ll go the way that the Bunnymen reformation went - Will Sergeant and Mac were doing Electrafixion and kept getting more and more requests for Echo & the Bunnymen songs. They started doing a few then it got more and more (just kept trying to get a little better, said a litle better than befo-a-w-ore) and in the end thought “fuck it, let’s just reform the Bunnymen, as it is what people wanna hear”.

I heard it was the same when New Order started playing LWTUA and Transmission in their live set. Trouble is, that Curtis guy is really awkward and uncooperative, so they haven’t managed to reform yet.

I personally love to hear the JD songs in the NO set, although I must confess I was never a JD fan.
Love Will Tear Us Apart is just one of those songs that the band HAS to play.
Still, it’s about time Curtis pulled his finger out, eh?
Maybe he could do one of them supergroups with Stuart Adamson on guitar and Michael Hutchence on singing.

What are you talking about?! There is absolutly no chance whatsoever that any of those guys, especially Slash, will ever go any where new Axl again, let alone reform GnR.
Non whatsoever.
Axl is a fucking joke, and he is apparently the only one who doesn’t realise it. He seems to be trying to ruin what GnR meant/means to people. Tosser.

and you KNOW these guys personally do you?! Axls a joke? The man hasn’t released any music for well over a decade, yet he puts together a band of no-marks and manages to sell out every date. Plus he can still create headline grabbing scandals like the biting incident. Methinks the man is very clever.
