Who is the oldest striker in the league then btw?
I think Walsall probably are in the same boat as Sunderland when it comes to luck. I remember years ago that Walsall lost about 15 games in a row, failing to score in most, and next match beat us 3-0 at Roker Park:(
i’m only guessing, but teddy is probably the oldest. Steve Claridge turned 40 playing for us, but i think they’ve let him go. Amusingly enough having played 999 league games, they dropped him for our last game so he never made the 1000 mark! :D
Walsall have always been the same mate. They’ll beat all the top of the table sides then lose 5 nil to a conference side in the cup. Probably.

It was the best I’d had e-mailed to me at the time. Move it wherever you wish o great one. Is there a joke incineration thread?

Not a bad start to the season, one point away at the Rams. Still, we conceded in 90th minute, as usual…

A keenly contested game last night, which the Dutch just about edged in the end. Though I feel the Irish were marginally the better side over the course of the tie.

The Celts got Man Utd then… needless to say who I’m shouting for there!
L’pool got PSV, Bordeaux & Galatasaray. Not bad, though could be slippery.
As for Ireland, we’ll be in better shape against the Germans on Sept 2nd, at least we’ll have Robbie Keane (playing the best football of his career), Shay Given and Damian Duff back. I also hope Finnan replaces Carr at left-back as Carr’s been crap for the last couple of years.
