Slightly concerning?

No-one else has commented on this, but Michaels last diary entry sounds a little ominous to me.

“With all the hanging around at various festivals we’ve been having some interesting chats about what’s ‘next’ for Therapy? By that i mean after the festivals and forthcoming shows are all sorted, just trying to be as prepared as possible like good boyos. We’ve got a few different projects we’d like to try out, some sane and some pretty off the wall. Hopefully we’ll be getting an idea of what will be happening when soon so keep posted to see whether or not they manifest or not!”

Could that not sound a little bit like Therapy? might not be the band members highest priority any more? Or am I misreading it? I can’t tell if he is suggesting new projects for Therapy?, or new projects outside of the band for the individual members.

I think you’re being a little paranoid, really…

The album is out, and they are talking about what to do after the main bulk of touring is through, and by the sound of it, that involves them as a band, rather than individually…

In other words, once the normal band stuff is done, there will be more stuff with the band, only instead of just peddling the album to death, it involves new projects. Sounds like a positive nore to me, not cause for concern…

Well, that is how I interpret it, anwway, what does anyone else think…?

well its a case of how long a band is prepared to keep to the cycle of album/tour/album/tour isn’t it? i’ve said it before but i think T?’s time will come again, i just really hope they stick it out. Shame that this new album is so disappointing, it would’ve been a great springboard.

What, apart from the drums, is wrong with the new album?
The songs are excellent, the only problem is that the drums aren’t loud enough! Which gives me another idea, why don’t they release a remastered version of OCFA? With the drums being louder!

the songs are poor. And the lyrics are lazy. Its just not the kind of album you kickstart your career with.

Nane is one of my favourite albums, but i do really like the new… it’s different and their albums always are. I had my doubts about a few songs but i was listening to the thing on my ipod the other day and like it more each time:)…still not one of their best.

I think these ideas and projects are like people said nothing to worry about…it maybe stuff like some instrumental stuff or whatever…all good:)

What Dan said!

I think the boys HAVE to do music - they love it so much its do or die for them - which is great in this age where people get in bands so they can become actors or make money or whatever agenda they have. It must be frustrating for them though - soldiering on with no money and not really building a new, larger fanbase considering the amount of good work and time they put in on the road.

The Manics once said they were getting fed up with playing to the same faces night after night and they had to change or drop out of the race. Luckily for them, Richey vanished and the sympathy fans came on board!

I think T?’s time will come again, just not with anything from this album!

Not even DSA, our white noise, Sprung or Walk Through Darkness. I’m sorry, but I HAVE to disagree with everyone here. I think the new album is a bit more mainstream, the songs aren’t as heavy, DSA is a perfect single for this time. Personally I don’t like the response that One Cure has been getting on the WoM, and I’m sure that the lads from T? wouldn’t really appreciate it themselves. They’ve made the album for us, the fans to enjoy, or try to enjoy, lets give them a bit of credit. OK, One Cure isn’t their strongest album, but we should get behind it, have faith in the album and have faith in Therapy?.

Rant over, which propably makes no sense.

I shouldn’t bother, mate. You weren’t too happy with me even though i very eloquently and intelligently explained my reasons for not liking OCFA! :D
