I have got all his books. His book “the commitments” was filmed and the “the Snapper” as well. Good fun to read but also a story of daily life. What’s your favourite book. Mine is “The secret history” by Donna Tartt. I also liked “Trainspotting” and “Catcher in the rye”. I love to read. Sometimes I am reading 3 or 4 books at a time.

I saw ‘The Van’ a few months ago on telly. It’s called ‘THE VAN’ and I happen to have it on tape. If you’re interested… I read in the newspaper that Irvine Welsh has written a new novel. Forgot the name. He moved to Amsterdam after Trainspotting had become such a big success. Now he’s back in London, but his novel is still situated in Edinbourgh. You must see ‘Acid House’. I read the book and saw the film. It contains three little stories. One story is so funny. In the film the main character is the same as Spud. What’s his name? Ewan … Can’t remember. One night when the lightning strikes, his mind is switched with the mind of a little baby. So his sick mind is inside the baby. You can imagine what happens next. You all go and watch this movie!

It’s Ewen Bremner! Welsh’s new book is called ‘Glue’ and he even got a much newer book called ‘Porno’. It’s about the same people from Trainspotting, but 10 years later! It’ll be for sale in August, but it will probably take some time before the rest of Europe will be able to buy it. Can’t wait…
