Meet up

#

Started by Hanne

Anyone up for a Midlands meet up type thing one Summer weekend? BBQ and drinking games (as suggested in the beer thread) in Birmingham city centre (thinking Aston campus right by the Brum Academy, or pubbage if it’s cold and rainy). And a friendly poker game if anyone is interested.

I can put a few far-traveling people up at my house there, well, give refuge, (providing I can vouch for you a relative amount…) and despite it being dangerously small and crap; and no one has moved in yet so there’s nothing worth stealing other than a hoover.

I can do pretty much every weekend apart from the one 12th August. So, whenever most people are free or something? Or if anyone is interested at all…

So, people, discuss.

I’m up for for meeting WoMbles, its always proven to be good. If the event also involves drinking then its surely the zenith of all things meeting, or something.

As for free weekends I don’t mind as I’ve nothing planned until mid September :)

WoMbles + Drink = Joy

Hanne, that’d be great, I’d be up for it but weekends are very hit and miss we me cos of gigs with my band (god, sounds like i fancy myself as right fucking Rock Star, doesn’t it?! We’re only a shitty pub band!) so I won’t put any thoughts in over dates, cos htat’d just restrict it too much.

If everyone else sorts out a date they can do, I will do my best to show my face, I’d love to meet the faces that match the nonsense we type on here!

Hooch, we’ll all just have to traipse to whichever West Mids town he’s playing in and heckle him.

What about Sunday the 20th august, and then people could stay an extra night if they wanted to see EODM?

Right what is going on with this meet up?

I don’t think I can do the 19th now as a close friend has told me that i have missed every single one of her birthdays and she is having a joint house warming/birthday with only close friends and the crazy woman says i’m one of them.. as she is the type of person who will detach my bollocks if i don’t come along i best go. I can do the 20th if peeps can make it. I don’t mind the bank holiday trains will be a bit busier not that it bothers me. Heysatan..what do you think? which would you do and think you could make it? Also Gav if you think you would like a night weekend away playing poker it would be cool to see you!:)

50% of all rail fares anywhere in the UK if you use this link :D

As always, I’m not bothered, the weekend of the 19th-20th isn’t amazingly good for me but I can work round that (just means I’ll be very, very hungover).

The all-nighter looks good, but I’ll have to check where I am, I have a horrible feeling that’s the weekend I’m moving. Again.

Dan, your sofa is more than welcome to join us, I know it’s probably a bit too young to be left on its own, but it’ll be fun for all the furniture :)
