Therapy? On Mtv

#

Started by The one and only Y

Well, If we ALL send a e-mail to MTV, maybe they can play some Therapy? videos.

How to do:

go on the page: http://www.mtv.de
look down the page and click on ‘contact’
Then click on ‘kontakt.mtv.de’
Go down the page and click in ‘Thema’ to ‘Anregung’
Write your name and your E-Mail into the 2 lines
AND:

Write in the box why they should play therapy? and where they can contact someone who can send them videos or something else!

the only show that will play tpy? is Rockzone, so you’d best email them - rockzone@mtv.de, or go to http://www.mtv.de/rockzone/kontakt.php and do what The one and only Y said before :)

MTV is full of shit these days, as is that spin off channel MTV2. VH1 is good for the time being as they’ve got a rock month on. Still, that’s life.

yeah, i HAVE thought about it and have decided mate that THAT is bollocks! :)

Getting everyone to petition the station into playing an old therapy? vid is merely appeasing the fans that petitioned the station to play an old therapy? vid.

So I agree with Dan: DON’T DO IT! ;)

a thousand curses on that damned music channel! :D

my point folks, is that by just asking for them to show a video is no different to going up to a dj at your local “discoteque” and asking for a tune. Its of no consequence to anyone really.

For it to have an impact on the unassuming general public you need a NEW video for a NEW single that the record company are gonna heavily promote and get decent rotation on music television AND radio for. ie you need a promotional campaign. Something that T?s record label obviously aint gonna do in a hurry.

so by all means go and request a vid, but don’t expect it to have any effect. :)

Its not negative towards therapy?, just the people who are supposed to put them out there.

i mean, getting the fans to put posters up, for fuck sake!!

Taunty Dan wrote:

Noooo..where does it say that?

This is how it SHOULD work:

Therapy? make product and give it to record company.

Record company mass produce product and tell everyone about it via marketing.

Getting fans to do it for you is lazy and fucking cheeky i think.

But anyway, i’m bored of repeating myself so i’m gonna shut up now.

I think its cool when fans get an opp to do some good for bands, like street teams.

I agree with dan tho, what good does putting up a poster do? I ignore posters for bands i do not care about, bet everyone does! :p

Well anything that gets the band’s name out there and into people’s minds is a good thing I suppose, and if the record company do not have the money/ desire to do this themselves, then fair play on the people who care enough about the band to do it on their behalf.

STILL…I find it very hard to believe that in this current time, Therapy? can’t sell shitloads of records - I mean, now more than ever they could find a fresh, young audience, surely?!

I would hate to think that it is just cos the press/ music channels don’t think they are pretty boys enough to market them…Surely T? have enough of a “look” to appeal to yer average music fan?!

OK they are not young and I wouldn’t personally bum them but, you know what I mean? They look cool but in their own way not a fashionable way and they have the right balance of serious/funny as fuck.

Please, someone out there MAKE THERAPY? FAMOUS NOW!

Then I’d like to point out that it wasn’t a new vid, it was an old vid that got me buying the albums properly. If it worked for me…
