The ‘Stay Happy’ riff tends to stick in my head for days after I’ve heard it again.

Also great for summer, when it finally comes … (it’s raining again).

i really cant understand how stalk&slash got so
famous amongst therapy fans.i mean there are better
(to my opinion of course, but there are two sides, mine and the wrong:))
songs in shameless.for instance , dance is brilliant,nice riff+solo
and if you think of it, such a song could easily appear in
the 1993 EP’s.
now, well my favourite therapy riff might be misery
and i guess the most shivering riff is aneurysm

It’s nice that Squall now says that probably Shameless has a best T? riff ever… ;o) So after all us who “defended” Shameless being a good T? record, were right… ;o)

I guess why Stalk & Slash has gone this big (well to me) is simply because that track sounds so much better played live than on the record. As said earlier here, another man’s honey is another man’s shite, right turnandface..? You’re right about Dance, it’s got everything a good tune needs. I really like that song a lot.

S&S is amazing live — and so, to my surprise, is Dance — in my opinion it is one of the weaker songs one the album (doesn’t mean it’s bad, cos I love the album), and would I feel have fitted better on a record like Semi Detached. BUT, live, it has sooo much more energy. Quite a transformation.

And S&S is amazing on record, of course. The album starts frantically with Gimme…, and to end on such a frantic note is great too.

I always thought that when it comes to track ordering, the last track is just slightly less important than the first track —- the first track’s first 10 seconds will keep you listening at a listening post in a record store. Whilst at home, once the last track finishes it will spark one of two reactions — “right, enough of that, next CD”, or, “god, that was amazing, let’s have that album again”.. and I think S&S definitely manages that.

Title: welcome to fuckland…don’t you worry it’ll be ok

if it wasn’t for that “welcome to fuckland” line in Dance, that would actually be my fav. track on the album… but that line ruins it for me every time… it’s just so stupid…

and as S&S goes, i think it’s not the total song itself that makes most love it, but just the guitar riff that starts it all off… it just grabs your attention and gets you so pumped right off the bat… after listening to the album, that riff will be in my head the rest of the day…

i wish i could hear them live… :(

Yeah, what is Fuckland?! :-)

As for S&S, the riff, yeah, but the “Shhh, shhh” vocals at the very beginning and at the very end… plus the break “no more drugs…” and when Michael comes in with the riff… it’s just a fucking cool manic song.

Title: closing tracks

Coming back to the point about closing tracks, I think Therapy? have the best album closers of any band. Dancin’ With Manson (pure class, one of my favourite T? songs, always makes me feel something inside), Potato Junkie (best song on that album and the one with the most classic lyrics), Hypermania (well I like it), Brainsaw (not great in the context of Troublegum but a good song anyway), 30 Seconds (what an outro), The Boy’s Asleep (one of their best ballads IMO), Sister (fuckin rocks!), Stalk & Slash (rockage).
