Do you own Down’s second album “Down II - A Bustle In Your Hedgrow”? I would recommend that, if you like the idea of ex-Pantera frontman Phil Anselmo singing (yes, actually singing, well, compared to his screaming in Pantera anway!) with a doomy, stonery kinda downtuned metal riffery going on behind him.

Wow, I have heard the album and my description makes fuck all sense to me, so good luck!

Dunno quite how heavy your tastes are, and I don’t really wanna alienate you with extreme metal and dark, satanic grindcore/ Death metal but just for your information:

I read last night that the Sugababes are releasing a compilation of their singles, which will feature two new songs.

If you can’t wait for that, I could always email you the singles, I have probably all of them on my PC…?

Really good album…but not really new.

Spartas last album Porcelin..i thought was very good.

I’m a big fan of the melvins and the melvinsmania CD has some stonking songs on it.

I should be able to recommend a few..but my mind has gone blank!

Self-titled debut CD by Misery Loves Company was kinda heavy and industrial and pretty good I seem to remember. Was on Earache records I think.

Los Natas
Delicious pampas-rock from Argentina. their latest is called Hombre MontaƱa, other good ones are Ciudad de Brahman and Corsario Negro. They have a few more but that’s really trippy and jammy stuff.

Take no notice Dan, it’s just an opinion.

I prefered Mezmerize… but the more i play hypnotize the more it grows on me:)

Toxicity was still the best album they did.

Yeah Toxicity rocks.

I thought Mez was ok at first, but I cant get into Hypnotize at all. It’s just so bland and flat to me.

NO craziness or crushing guitars.

It’s all Daron’s fault. He’s ruining the band.

The problem with Hypnotize is that after the six month gap from Mez there was nothing new…the first one did all the ideas they needed and then there wasn’t anything different in the second part. It’s another case of if both albums were trimmed into one it would have been killer… same with load and reload samewith the two GNR albums.
