I have finished listening.

At first I was impressed because they have a song called ‘Meh’, which is second only to ‘meep’ in my list of favourite fake words. But it sucked… meh.

They also list Metallica as their greatest influence and a quick look here will tell you how I feel about that…

Your turn ;)

Yes, upon further listening of the songs I’ve grown to dislike them slightly.

Not that bad though! :)

Cool review of the demo:

Quote (author unknown):

Glasgow based Little John Rocket have just recorded one of the most original sounding promo/demos I have heard in a long long time! This is like a genre of music not yet invented. An acid fried, nihilistic darkness so hypnotic, yet disturbingly refreshing, it will pull at your spine.

The first song “At an End” is a lyrical attack of such acerbic, backbiting bile, it makes you wince. Musically, it threatens to be a dance track, then suddenly veers off into a punk, disco, pop, rock, world of it’s own. Re-inventing itself 50 times along the way!

Next song “Nurnberg” is, vocally, like a crazy Bryan Ferry, but musically it once again has its own ideas about what it wants to be and it does indeed “be it”. This band has such confidence in their abilities as a collective, and it shows! Produced by Rico, this is one cd you really need to listen to at the very least! Little John Rocket may not become a household name in every street in Britain, but they will in the ones that matter! This band is an excavation of genius. Come and discover them! “A warm hello to you our newsletter friend from Little John Rocket.

Our new single BASEMENT is out now!!!

Little John rocket has found out it does not take as many downloads of a song to get into the charts (top 100) as you would think! Other than us wanting you to download and own BASEMENT since it is a great RICO produced track… we want to crack the chart. BUT we can only do it with your help.

So, we want YOU to personally be involved in getting a band into the charts. How hard can it be!?!?!

And there are only 2 simple things you have to do.

Download BASEMENT our single from iTunes or Napster for a mere 79p
Copy this message and pass it on in an email to all your address book friends that would like to help a band storm the charts, so they may download it and pass this message on too!

It takes no time at all to download (the important bit)…

… and think of it less as a chain letter… and more of a way for you and your friends to get your own back on the charts with genuine independent music! If we can prove it can be done… then anyone can do it… SO JOIN THE EXPERIMENT.

We only have a ‘3 DAY’ window form right now to do this… so PLEASE click on the link below, (no mp3 player… well.. get involved anyway!!! :-)
And then pass this on to your friends in your address book that would help in the chart music struggle.

We will keep you up to date of how the campaign goes… come on… lets “raid the charts”.

Thank you, x

Don’t hesitate, it needs everyone, act now to claim back the charts.

This is a link to our official site where there is a direct link to either iTunes or Napster for you. http://www.littlejohnrocket.com/audio.html
or search iTunes for Little John Rocket (BASEMENT)”
