going from the stalk $ slash post, what is the one lyric from any therapy? song that just bugs the hell out of you?

as stated before, mine has to be “welcome to fuckland” in Dance… i wish it was never written…

Title: Body Bag Girl

Body Bag Girl - this is pure shite, and since the song was written around this lyric, the song is complete thrash as well.

If there was one song I could wipe from Therapy’s history, it would be Body Bag Girl - it’s seriously awful, I can’t fathom how anyone can enjoy that song. Crap lyrics, crap vocals, crap drums, crap everything.

I recommend playing “Body Bag Girl” after Gary Glitter’s “Rock And Roll Part 2” (or Part 1, depending on your taste). I kind of like it.

I think the worst lyrics are in “Dance” since I think the words just sound bad, like they don’t connect or something artistic like that.

Title: BBG

I think I’ve only listened to the song once all the way through.

Whenever I put on the album, I listen all the way through until it gets to THAT sickening drum intro, and then I just have to skip to the next track. It’s the only Therapy? song that’s actually painful for me to listen to…

boom, boom, da, da, boom, boom, da, da… horrible.

That line from Bowels of Love off the Infernal Love album.

It’s about the only track I have to skip past now.
Yuk!

According to the band, Hypermania was never supposed to have lyrics. They used a bunch of samples (kinda like Loser Cop), and recorded them, but couldn’t get publishing clearance. So at the last minute Andy had to go write and record vocals for the song. He said himself that the lyrics were rubbish and didn’t really mean anything.

The worst Therapy? song would have to be their cover of With Or without You in my opinion. Mind, everyone has their own taste, etc. So I’m sure there are people out there who love it.

the song is good… the lyrics are good, except for the “welcome to fuckland” lyric… that’s lyric is just stupid and kinda ruins the song for me… what is fuckland anyway? if i was 15 again i might think that was cool, but i think andy could write something with a little more meaning…

and that’s my opinion, so there!

hypermania lyrics might be nonsense but it sounds like a certain ‘game of questions’ gary oldman and tim roth used to play at in a movie (1990) called ‘rosencrantz and guildenstern are dead’.

“What does it all add up to?
Can’t you guess?
Are you addressing me?
Is there anyone else?
Who?
How would I know?
Why do you ask?
Are you serious?
Was that rhetoric?”
i guess nobody here has seen it… haven’t you?

‘Rostencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead’ was great, i’ve seen it!

I like the lyric ‘welcome to fuckland’, although i’m not going to pretend i know what it means… unless it’s part of a joke, like ‘welcome to fuckland, population: YOU’. It’s just something stupid that would look good on a t-shirt.

I’ve been thinking though, and i thought of a lyric i seriously don’t like - at the end of ‘30 Seconds’ when it says ‘there is a light at the end of the tunnel’. I never liked that one, mainly because i sat though the whole depressing length of Infernal Love (sorry, just reread that - i mean depressing as a compliment, because i love the album), and then the tell you that hey, it’s not that bad after all. What the hell had they been singing about for the past hour then??

Okay, i’ll go away now.

the lyrics to body bag girl are ropey, the song sounds a bit like ten benson which isnt a bad thing if you are ten benson but is a bit worrying otherwise.

The line from stories.. ” I get by on what I have, less than Jesus more than Dad” never really clicked for me, still, it’s a hell of a lot more listenable than ” I’ve got issues and I’m fucked up inside” nu-ass metal crap that’s dominating at the moment!

Regarding the “There is a light at the end of the tunnel” line, I read an interview in the NME when Infernal love came out, apparently it was originally supposed to go “There is no light at the end of the tunnel”, but they thought it was bullshit as their lives had changed for the better, and it would be a lie to record it. The whole point about the depression thing, you go through it and then you come out of it.

Shame about the David Holmes bits though, it really killed the pace of the album for me, I had a friend make a copy of Infernal love where he cut out all the linking parts, in my opinion it sounded a hell of a lot better…

I guess that your friend did a big job to cut those Holmes’ things away but you should done it the “easiest” way by buying or trading Infernal Love promo (cat. nro INFERCD1) because there is NO that “link”-stuff between the songs…
