Therapy? Tour

#

Started by metclub

First of all, hello guys. I’m a newly addicted Therapy? fan, full of wonder and excitement for this band.

First cd I got was “So Much For The Ten Year Plan” and almost wore that one out. Later on, the collection just got bigger and I consider myself a huuuge fan, though I have little or no knowledge of Therapy?’s history. (will change, btw)

Anyhoo, back to the topic.

Must say I’m somewhat disappointed Therapy? didn’t decide to swing by Norway on their tour, and even more Trondheim. I would have done almost everything to go to a Therapy? concert. The closest and most available one to me is the one in Strasbourg in October, but it’s still too far and too expensive. I’m a poor student :(

Trondheim is a fantastic city with over 1/3 of their inhabitans being students. The rock/punk/metal environment is great as well, and I could name several places where Therapy? could have had a gig and the place would be packed.

So.. reading this all over again, this turned out to be a whine-thread, which was not intended.

Main point was; Guys, get the hell over here! I want mjusic!! :D

If every therapy? fan came on here and begged for the guys to play their hometown there’d be far too many shows for the guys to play.

Totally understandable and I didn’t expect them to come either, but damn, that would be fun :D

I’m trying to scrape together money for Oct. 13th in Strasbourg now.

Let’s indeed hope :D

Nothing would be better than a Therapy? concert for me right now.

Good luck to you too!

It’s not so much the venues, but the promoters job for booking bands. Try e-mailing your local promoter instead!!

Well yeah, but you have to know who that is first… Most venues know how to contact bookings agent as well

Fair price I guess… seeing all the costs they have (crew, travelling, …) and the fact they have to earn almost all their money with gigs (as the money from selling CDs will not be huge these days).

They have to make a living somehow!

For 2000£ where, in UK? I bet it´s more if they have to travel outside UK..
But if it´s that 2000£ everywhere icluding all the costs, it ain´t that much! A gig here in Tampere could be possible then:)

its 2000 in the uk, and that was for somewhere out of the way in wales.

saying that it was a very small venue, for bigger venues they might charge alot more/

so manchester etc may be cheaper

and i just looked online and the ABBA ul tribute band are £3500 so i guess t? are somewhat of a bargin

My buddy here in Tampere owns a part of a punk club, maby I should ask him if he´s willing to take a risk…I talked with Neil in Germany a while ago about their costs, and he said it´s a lot in Scandinavia for a gig only. So it have to be proper tour and the costs will be lower.
But it´s allowed to dream about a “private gig”:)

Well, anyway their price is as modest as the boyz are!! If you see the price you pay for a stupid, Belgian, not-at-all internationally famous band… If you compare, T? is way too cheap!!!
