I hate my job!!!

Guys need ya advice :(

I’ve been working at a arcade for like a year now and did so that I could have enough dosh to support myself and keep my home since moving off of the isle of wight etc etc… but seriously I’m really fucked off with the people there. They’ve treated me like shit frankly and the customers are worst! I leave everyday feeling depressed, frustrated and basicly fed up to say the least.

I don’t wanna just quit cuz I need the money and finding work at the mo is becoming impossible and like I say I’m getting shit the longer I stay there so I really want to get out asap!!!

Anyone else ever felt this way in a job before - what have you done? The only time I’ve jacked it in was working at McDonalds but I was younger then and things weren’t so bad not having a job.

So umm… help! :(

I was just lucky that my job found me… I’ve had some problems keeping it though, but it seems that I’m safe again for another year :p

But I would try damn hard to find another job, eventually you could take another (temporary) shit-job like washing dishes or whatever, and keep on searching for a good job again.

Put in Jobseekers Allowance and Housing Benefit claims, then register with a load of employment agencies - they should be able to get you something quickly, even if it’s bar work or call centre work etc. And work for the agency whilst applying for something better.

Well I’m getting £5.35 a hour for: cleaning the place up, being security - kicking people and barring them (just me do groups of chavs go easily…?), fixing machines and when they want their sugar or milk for their tea/coffee I have to get it, and I barely get a ten minute break - even when working a 9 hour shift! All this for 6 days a week, 47 hours! Also find most of my wages goes towards traveling :(

From anyones experience is bar work difficult…?

I used to work in a busy town centre pub, weekend nights were great. I was lucky to work with a good set of people and we all became very good friends, plus its a buzz working, can have a laugh with the vast majority of the customers and time seems to fly.

Working during the day, you get the usual locals and the fucking wasters propping the bar up all day which can get a bit tedious. The work is not particularly hard though.

If you think you are being badly treated then get yourself some good advice from the CAB or somewhere. I believe that everyone is legally entitled to a proper break every 4 hours for a start!
