the last time i was at reading was way back in 2001. must admit actually, the line up this year IS pretty bad, but it beats spending the weekend at work which is what i would’ve been doing otherwise. :)

First year since 1999 that I won’t be going to Leeds. That’s what you get for working in Britain’s premier holiday resort over AUgust Bank Holiday. Would have loved to have seen Slayer and Muse. Wonder if they’ll tour together?

Seriously though, why motley crue? I can think of better acts to be a tribute to.

They are, ridiculous though it seems to me and everyone else I ask, deadly serious.
:(
the arguments for Motley Crue are
a) There are very few Crue tributes, so no real competition
b) The sound isn’t that far off how we sound now, so we could pull it off convincingly (This is in their opinion, not mine!)
c) The music would be fun to play.
Of course there are hardly any Crue tributes cos no-one likes Motley Crue in the UK so no-one would come and see them.
And I fail to see how I would enjoy playing that poodle metal shite …

oh mate, you’re so right with the “no-one likes motley crue in the UK” point. Okay, a lot of people have heard of them, but thats more notoriety than anything, no-one really knows the songs.

The suggestion is to keep Bandykoot gigging, but much less often, just to keep our hand in kind of thing.
I will just fuck off and join another band if this nonsense goes ahead, but they assure me they wouldn’t want to do a band that doesn’t involve me, which is a nice ego boost at least. The arse-licking bastards.
