Started by Teethgrinder (René Fennema) Administrator

I’ve added the voting page for the exclusive show Therapy? will be recording in a studio in September. You are invited to vote for the three songs you would most like to see performed.

Read the details and vote for your favourite songs on the web gig page.

Please discuss everything related to the web gig in the dedicated thread, and not here.

They implemented an “Ignore Colin?” feature on the forums although you cannot see it, seeing as you are the aforementioned “Colin?”.

Colin - I have added a news item about the changes in postal costs for merchandise to the UK and a reminder about the forthcoming European festival dates. Neither of which are likely to impress you, I’m afraid :(

Isnt that bad for chart postitions etc, I though the reason the albums wernt there was becuase it was better for fans to buy from shops as it would make shop sales better encouraging shops to buy in future realeses, i guess this way is better as the band make more money though.

sale is sale, who cares about chart positions… this is a good thing for the american fans I guess… although there’s a lot of other webshops around who sell their albums worldwide.

Chart positions are a hit and miss way of judging things anyway. As it is, there’s only a handful of shops whose sales they use to work out the charts.

Like in London the main HMV and I think the main Virgin are the only two that they will get their sales count from and work it out from there. So if one shop which counts sells none but one next door sells shit loads then they still only get a low chart position.

It’s stupid I know, but thats how they do it. So I would have thought it’s better for the records to sell by any means than to worry about such things. Look at the Ramones they never really had much chart success but they seemed to do fine:)
