well, on friday i played my gig with my new band Harmonium (Porn Dwarf) who only formed on friday lunch time cos my mate who a sound engineer needed a band for his venue otherwise he wouldn;t get paid, so called up a couple of musician mates and threw together a short set of covers and jammed out material, and then played a hilariouslyt shambolic gig where we all fucked up several times and i forgot the words to one of the songs, but be Quiet and drive sounded ok and then finihsed wiht a hilariously shoddy version of the power rangers them for the drummer co she still loves power rangers after all this time. was hella fun and funny as fuck, hopefully if we play again we cna actually have more than 3 hours to pratice songs that only half the band know. was fucking awesome, i love my retarded stoner ideas.

This sounds great fun but…
I do worry that this is maybe a little too close to home for me. I mean, my band DOES rehearse and DOES know what songs we are gonna do, but still, it all rings very familiar…!

i’m in a band… but we dont have any name yet, just about 10 instrumental songs and i also wrote about 4songs, i mean lyrics… it’s sad cause we are all very busy, 2 of us have their final school year in the next 2semesters (including me) and the other 2 persons are busy doing their civil service… there always something thats prevents us on continueing making/recording songs…
i hope we’ll manage to get on stage in about a year or so…
i do really believe in us, just like the rest of us does… but still we need a good method how we can create good songs, quickly!
by the way: i do the drums

short and sweet mate! :D What else can you tell us?
Just played our first gig at Rock Oddity ‘06 in the Windsor, Bangor. Went down pretty well. We covered auto pilot by QOTSA, though, and the clean channel on the amp was left at zero volume… roll on the refrain ‘ahhh-ah… hold on… the guitar’s not working’. Nah, it was good, was recorded for DVD purposes and no doubt I’ll put it on YouTube when the prefessionals are done editing.

I suppose you want me to go check it again, then don’t you? Well I already have and it’s a travesty! Ok, so it’s not bad. Not especially keen on the vocals (I think speaking more production-wise), but it’ll be interesting to hear with a real drummer. Using the word ‘real’ only in its loosest possible sense. :p

Together with mrs Balcony (a singer)and my closest friend (also a singer), I formed a band almost a year ago. After having found a guitarist, drummer and keyboardplayer we decided to only play covers of songs we like; mostly early wave and punk.
I lost count of the amount of bands I’ve played in, but this one is definitely the best ever, because we have no goal, except the fact that we want to enjoy making music together. Read my profile and you understand why ;)
