Same here. This has been a great year for albums I think.

This really deserves it’s own thread but here goes (Top 5 albums of the year so far):

1- Liars - Drum’s Not Dead
2- Tool - 10,000 Days
3- Therapy? - One Cure Fits All
4- Thom Yorke - The Eraser
5- Morrissey - Ringleader Of The Tormentors

Honorbale mention to The Black Heart Procession who just missed out. And a new Mountain Goats album is only round the corner! :)

Gotta check out James Dean Bradfield’s album too…

I’m really enjoying this album:) I do like more electronic stuff anyway and feel this album works well and suits thoms voice well… i find it nice and chilled, and there are some great sounds going on if you listen to it on headphones.

Didn’t realise Paarlophone were so poor. They cant even afford a box for the Thom Yorke cd.

That would work if Parlophone was releasing it, the album is on XL recordings.

Horrific album. With Kid A and Amnesiac they started out well on the electronic/moody/weird side of things, but with HTTT and now this is really sounds like Thom’s just reading “IDM for dummies” and making the most watered down, half-arsed electronic music available. Christ, this makes Four Tet sound interesting.
Harrowdown Hill and Cymbal Rush are pretty cool, but the rushed nature of them and Nigel -fucking- Godrich’s “Let’s make every instrument sound flat and dull” production suck the life out of them too.

I never thought I’d find electronic music more mind-numbing than Four Tet either, but never say never.
