What are you eating?

#

Started by caffeinebomb (Caffeine Bomb)

Following on from the roaring success of the “What are you reading?” and “What are you listening to?” threads, I thought I’d start a food-based equivalent.

I’m not eating anything right now, but I do really want to be eating a hot roast chicken baguette with cracked black pepper and mayonnasie.

Probably going to have Dominos though.

What are you eating?

Just finished a nice steak with roast potatoes and a fresh garden salad (outta me very own garden :D). All washed down with a glass or two of Italian red wine. A wholesome spliff is on the menu for dessert!

I made a mushroom risotto for lunch, which was bloody lovely. And I’ve baked some bread with sun dried tomatoes which I intend to feast on later. Huzzah.

it’s from her dad’s side of the family, not mine!

I won’t eat mushy peas (and never have) because my dad once did a summer job picking slugs out of the peas in a mushy pea factory. He says lots still got through, but the reason you never find slugs in the tin is because they dissolve in the salt :S

I love mushy peas but they were a bit sweet, I needed something with a kick. Made perfect sense at the time, anyhow.

One would assume working practices have changed a lot since you were young, mother. We had that whole industrial revolution for a start :p

@ Citizen erased - possibly. If it doesn’t bother you at all then you could just cut out the peas from the equation and never have to pay another shopping bill! A quick trip round the woods would sort out all your dietary needs :)
