I’ll be 43 this month, which makes me exactly two days older than dirt.
I first heard a demo cut of “Misery” back in 90something and have been a fan ever since - but I was unfaithful…
Kind of lost track of the band after SD and recently got re-introduced to T? and bought all of the CDs cut since then. It’s good to be back amongst the hip, mod or whatever the hell you young people call yourselves now.
I have no idea why the band isn’t marketed in the US hardly at all. Everyone I play T? for is impressed.

Feel really old. I’m nearly thirty and I first heard therapy in, erm, let me think…1992? that’s what? 14 years ago? I saw them then I think..when they played with Silverfish and Gallon Drunk. They were promoting ‘Nurse’ and I was 15… Feel old now..way past bedtime..

I’m 31 and been into them since around 91 after seeing them with Silverfish at Glasgow QMU. Seen them around half a dozen times between 91 and 94, then kinda lost touch after Infernal Love, but after seeing them again in May, I’m a born again fan.

Title: Age … just a number
I’m 36, and I bought “Pleasure Death” on a whim (well, actually, it had quite a lot to do with the cover ;)) as part of a record buying spree for my 22nd birthday. Definitely one of my better whim buys, and I’ve been a beeg beeg fan ever since, that’s for sure :D
I still have the LP, but not quite in its original format - an ex-girlfriend melted it under the grill, by way of a … um … leaving present. Such heathen behaviour  We clearly weren’t suited ;) Anyway, the outside edges all curled up and it now makes a rather natty, if over-large ashtray. I also appreciate the dark irony of having an ashtray called “Pleasure Death” …

Cheers for the welcome.
Ouch, that makes me sound positively ancient  I’m reliably (and often) informed that I don’t act old ;) Just relieved I ain’t the oldest…;)
More to the point though, the apparent age range speaks volumes about the appeal of this band, though, dunnit?

Must admit that I had bits by then on compilations of stuff (I hear the screams of “Neanderthal” in the background), but it was Infernal Love that got me truely hooked. Then I spent every single pound I could lay my hands on getting the back catalogue.
I’m 29 & agree with Edz comments - good quality music transends all ages.
But unfortunately not enough people in Kent appeqar to be cultured enough to know about T? But the mates (Hardy, Mason, Lucas & Smudge) I do have, truly understand the value of T?s contribution to music.

Thank Fuck for that, was beginning to think I was too old to still be listening: I’m 29 now, (just on the 6th this month) but its great to know the original fans didn’t all just get wiped out in the craziness of the early nineties!!!

Such a relief to know we’re all still out there!! I sympathize with the Kent dilemna: I live in Shropshire and there’s a similar story here. Perhaps a more telling thread would have been “Are Therapy? fans loners by default?”. Not that I have no friends, just that none of them are really aware of Rock’s glory days in the early nineties.
