Man, I thought everyone had forgotten this AMAZING series. If you like Mighty Boosh, The Office, Brasseye, Alan Partridge or anything in between, get this. Twice.

The dead people synchronised display is quite possibly THE funniest thing i’ve ever seen.

I love the guy who gets physically affected by boredom (his eyes bleeds when he sees something dull etc.)

Mighty Boosh is on par… maybe. Brasseye is better. Spaced is better.

i bought it last week - that guy has an amazing comic brain

not like the BOOSH where they say lots of random things and hope for the best

heres how a typical conversation with a boosh fan goes:

me - i dont like the mighty boosh
boosh fan - how can you NOT like the boosh?!?!? like omg omg omg its so funny. i love it cos its so RANDOM!!!!
me - i hope you die of aids

you see, just because something is RANDOM!!!!! doesnt mean its funny. its lazy writing.

That would be true- if it were just random lines, it wouldn’t be funny. It’s funny bevause it’s NOT jsut random lines. It’s the timing of the jokes, and the knowledge that someone pulled this sensless insanity (in terms of art direction and plot) that make it funny.

after seeing nathan barley (which i loved), i really hoped those guys could be funny by themselves. i watched 4 episodes of the first series and grinned once

i just cant understand why its got its cult following

Sorry, if I sound like an idiot, but which specific series are you actually talking about?

This is a great show, it is far superior to Mighty Boosh. Boosh is very lazy 6th form level random lol!! type rubbish.

Its a shame because Julian Baratt was decent in Nathan Barley, and would be good in something decently written but Noel Fielding is completely talentless.

After having seen it now, I’m not completely blown away. Some bits are really funny (like the one where firemen decide to make extinguishing fires more exciting by putting on a strip show at the same time), the rest is moderately amusing.

It’s not comparable to The Mighty Boosh. It has none of that childlike, innocent fairy tale-character. You can tell it was written by the same guy who also thought up “Time Trumpet”, though.
