Kind of agree with what you said, Dennis. I saw them in Glasgow on Friday and my summing up of the gig can be done in 4 words. One tour too many!! But, yeah, worth seeing.
Stadium gig sound is NEVER good!

I went to Ian McKaye’s Q&A spoken word performance yesterday. He talked for a bit more than 2 hours, he didn’t bore me for a second, I could have listened to him a few more hours actually.
The concept was also very nice, you could just ask him questions, and he replied them all (untill he ran out of time… :()
Very interesting and funny show!

A lot of people might think his lifestyle is boring… maybe that’s why they think so about this man as well.
I never thought so though, I finally feel understood by someone ;)
I’ve always looked up to him, I knew he was very amusing, but I didn’t know he’s such a good talker…

Enslaved, Zyklon and two other bands that weren’t that good.
Enslaved were awesome i was very impressed… but Zyklon just blew me away i don’t think i have seen a tighter band and trym is a drumming demon! Also to really make my night the Zyklon boys were just hanging around in the bar and stuff between their set so got to chat to Trym and Samoth from Emperor which was great they are the nicest rock stars i have met bar therapy? so got autographs and chatted briefly seems that there will be a new Emperor dvd out of the reunion tour.. which isn’t a surprise.

It was mate:)… Trym scared the shit out of me as he looks quite menacing but they had played he was more social and just a nice bloke. He’s quite short unlike Samoth who is very very tall!
I took some photos when they played but they are terrible and then my camera battery died… which pissed me off.

Yeah I know I i wish i had but ididn’t really expect them to be hanging around… but the mean fiddler is a small place and i guess there isn’t really a back stage.
I did mention it, they didn’t give much away… they said at the moment they just want to do this as they never toured the last album … but Trym did say how they are proud to be back doing it and how much fun they are having… so you never know?

Necrophagist, Orphaned Land and Samael on Thursday night.
Necrophagist is just a progressive death metal band that i can never like.
Orphaned Land, oriental metal at its best.
Samael was great but I was tired!

Brian Robbo Robertson with Five Fifteen at Iisoppi in Nokia here in Finland.
Well, no Motörhead songs this time either.
Classic Thin Lizzy tracks: Jailbreak, Rosalie, Still in love with you (Robbo sang this), Cowboy song, Don´t belive a word, Are you ready, Baby drives me crazy + couple of 5.15 songs. Didn´t get the setlist as they cleaned the stage ultra fast but I remember those songs.
Nice gig. There was not much folk there but it didn´t spoil the event. Robbo was in a good mood, he signed us some stuff and we got pics taken with him.
He still has that style playing guitar with a fag in his playing hand (check out the MH video compilation and you know what I mean:)) and he played well! Me and my buddy enjoyed the gig very much.

What a fantastic show from Disturbed…the 1 year waiting for it was indeed worth it.
Also real cool show from the Zico guys! S.th which will hopefully grow in the future. still got a song from them in my mind *starts singing: we are the lonely ooonees…*
Only real bad thing at both shows, were Nevermore…baaaaaaaaah what a shit band this was?! Hopefully we won’t have too hear from them anymore…

Horrible band.
The Zico Chain kicked ass and Ollie looked like Animal from the Muppets :D
Loved the Disturbed show (x2) and great to meet the band, although David is acting a bit like a rockstar already :(
Dan (guitar) nevertheless was very cool and a very nice guy.
Once you have them, post the pictures honey !!
