So, would you watch the video if it was released?
I personally would. Not for some voyeuristic buzz, but purely to see how it happened. Steve Irwin lived to show the general public how wild animals reacted towards humans, and he’d even said himself that he would like his death to be filmed and shown.
However, it’s up to the family and even if it is not released, I would understand why.
I remember a few years back seeing the Nick Berg beheading by Muslim extremists on the internet. I’m glad I had dial-up back then as the images weren’t good quality, however the sounds were horrible. I think Steve Irwin’s tape is a completely different situation in that people can learn from it.
