Well that was one of the best things ive heard in a while. Well said Caffeine Bomb.

What i wouldnt give for The Wildhearts to be releasing an album every other year or so. Let alone a gig like this.

We as T? fans are very lucky. They do a great job for us so lets all appreciate what they do :)

not saying that none of you appreciate T? :p

Let’s face it, who did T? expect to buy the download package? Those casual fans who have heard of T? and liked what they heard but nothing more nothing less or the WoMbles that buy every release T? put out?

If they onlywould have let the WoMbles vote, they were sure of at least 100 downloaded sets.

Now I’m not capable to make any predictions.

If it’s possible to buy single tracks, I’ll buy 4 of them. Otherwise nothing.

I don’t mind (too much) not hearing many of the rarer tracks. I am disappointed though, that nothing of the new album will be played.

To be honest, I thought they would play a few of them anyway, so I didn’t vote for them (I wish I had now). I’m loving the bootlegs from this year because of the OCFA tracks. It must be a downer for the band to think that nobody wants to hear the new stuff.

Incidently, after 1998 there’s only one song (If It Kills Me). Surely, that will upset the band a little bit?

I don’t think it should. My guess is that (most) people on the board here vote for the rarer stuff (like Suing god) or out of nostalgic reasons (explains e.g. Nausea in my vote) The others vote for the the most popular/only ones they know of. Doesn’t leave much other room I suppose. (btw Alan, another reason I’m quoting you here was because of that list we talked about some weeks ago, any chance you could still provide it?)

I didn’t even know that a vote was possible when are you aren’t registered here. How are the votes checked to prevent multiple voting? Through IP? Not meant to suggest that the vote was rigged of course ;).

I think it makes sense to find the classics like Screamager on there when thinking of it in the same way as an “offical live album”, but my initial impression of the event was as mentioned a bit different.

half of the songs are already on scopophobia… so i’ll say that i’m half disappointed :D

Screamager
Knives
Teethgrinder
Die Laughing
Nowhere
If It Kills Me

At least we have suing god and evil elvis…

anyway, thinking calmly about it know, i guess it’s almost balanced between hits (always played songs), not very often played songs, and rarely/never played ones.

We keep doing this about new releases. Anyone remember the “poor production” debacle about OCFA? Let’s quit moaning, count our blessings and enjoy what we’re given yeah?

I don´t think that way. But i respect T? to be a true band, and always did things they wanted to do.
T? will be always rockin! No question about it.
But its my right to tell, when i don´t like something they do. I didn´t like the last two albums, and i didn´t like the poll results for reasons i said already.
But the thing is - I am still posting in here, cause i believe in T? and like them as a band. But to be honest, you don´t have to like everything and i think i have to right to say so.

I think all the people who agree with Screamager, Die Laughing & Nowhere being included should stand on one side of the board, and all those who disagree should stand on the other - then on the count of three we should all charge each other in a ‘british bulldog’ style fashion until everyone is on the floor in fits of laughter…

Then I guess we can just buy the tracks we want.

I will get them all anyway cause I am a completist and I want the packaging & shit.

Its catch 22 - the band try do something nice for the fans, but you cant please everyone… At least we get some new stuff.

Yes. I’m glad that their simply doing something like this…let alone included tracks like Suing God in the voting at all.

Plus it ought to be encouraging that it looks like roughly 1000 votes were cast!!!

(I could be wrong on the number but since you vote for 3 songs per vote, and there were 3442 tallies in the results post. 3442/3 = 1147.33)

I agree it would have been nicer to have a few more non-Troublegum tracks (Nausea!!), but that’s the risk of polls, and I think it’s such a treat (especially for us who can’t see them live) that the band is doing this at all, that I won’t gripe.

Perhaps those of you wanting more rarities, should petition the band to do something like Local H did on their last tour.

At the gigs the crowd gets to submit votes for songs they want to hear, and they encorporate them into the set list (if the songs weren’t already on that night’s list).

Maybe the band can leave open a song or two each night for the crowd to determine.

Just a thought

It should be good I reckon and yeah not as many rare tracks got on there but hopefully the idea that they might got the guys jamming them out and that could lead to us hearing a few on the next tour - so look on the bright side!

I would have voted for Stand In Line - my fave ever T? track, but it wasn’t on there!
Know what you mean tho - there has been some cracking tunes since HA, where are they?! DLAM would have been good, Rock You Monkeys, Rust, Sprung, I could go on…and on :D

Hmm, I’d rather if the tracks were belted out short, quick and tight. The last thing we want is a 3 minute version of Knives (which they sometimes do live). But yeah, it should be a pretty short performance anyway, especially considering that will be no between song banter etc.

At the end of the day here chaps, isn’t it this sort of stuff that got us all interested in the first place?

The darker, weirder, more inaccessible stuff is what makes Therapy? the band we all know and love, but by it’s very nature it isn’t the sort of stuff that wins fans and influences people first off.

This is only part of CB’s post, but I have to say I agree with the whole thing, fair comment and well put. Hats off to you*

For the complaints about the lack of new songs, I’d say that they got just as many votes but there was no standout track which claimed a huge percentage (like Screamager off Troublegum for example) and due to mixed reactions from fans to these new songs (Person A might like Sprung and hate Our White Noise and Person B might like Our White Noise and hate Sprung) it results in an average rating for the new songs

No I’m saying that the fans of the newer songs were too disorganised to vote for a particular new song. Look at the mass-scale organization here on WoM for voting for Suing God, why couldnt we have done the same for Sprung for example? We would have got better coverage for the band with regard to more recent material for the benefit of the casual fans who will buy this

I really liked the 3 nites in a row they did at the barfly a while ago, or THERAPY?STOCK as Graeme called it.

Additional thoughts about the setlist:
I never realized that a Moment of Clarity was so popular. I’m glad Diane didn’t make it instead of Suing God.
I’m also very pleased that Straight Life, Dancin’with Manson and Evil Elvis are on it.

Not really happy with the results - I’ve live versions of nearly every song on the set, would’ve thought Jude the Obscene was a better option than moment of clarity and although I love the song you can download Manson on the web site alreasy so don’t know why that was an option… sure what can you do? In the end it was a vote! I’m gonna buy it anyway, fair play to the lads for doing something different… roll on October 31st!

p.s. I’m not sure how accurate the 9% WOM figure is coz I voted when I wasn’t logged on and I’m sure I can’t be the only womble to do so!

The set list is great, just feel it could have been even better. It’s suprising Sprung had such a poor vote being such a great opener.

Title: wake up!!!!!!!!!!!

Why are there so many old songs in the set list…people wake up!!!!!!!!! Therapy has recorded some great songs on their last 3 albums. Still everbody wants to hear nowhere or screamager. These are great songs but this was the chance to hear some songs they never play live or to hear the new songs live.

It seems that some people are stuck in the 90’s.

Anyhow it is great that therapy is doing this thing but it could have been so much better.
