i watch that just to see them fighting during the challenges and the thing that jeremy clarkson comes out with:

“This is the Renault Espace, probably the best of the people carriers. Not that that’s much to shout about. That’s like saying “Ooh good I’ve got syphilis, the BEST of the sexually transmitted diseases.”

“You can’t have this car with a diesel engine. It’d be like saying, ‘Well, I won’t go to Stringfellows tonight, I’ll get my mum to give me a lap dance, she’s a woman!’ Yeah, but…”

“We’re not going to listen to him because he’s got a beard.”

I missed it, but I think it’s repeated tonight, isn’t it? It’s a great show, and I can’t stand cars.

I have seen these jet cars at the Bulldog Bash. It really is something to behold when they shoot past you.

The noise and fumes that come from these things before they even move off are something else too..It really does sound like a jet engine taking off.

Hard to get across what it is like seeing one of these beasts in action - so if you get chance to see it for yourself, check it out!

Not necessarily … :( It doesn’t say it in that article, but apparently he has serious head injuries :(

Apparently though, he was driving at 300mph, and it veered off to the right. The car then started rolling several times according to one of the guys who was there.

When a car rolls…the chances are you’re going to die. Especially at that sort of speed.

I know. I just meant that if I had serious head injuries, whether I considered myself ‘lucky’ to be alive would depend very much on what kind of life I could expect to live after leaving hospital … I don’t want to think about that though, lets just cross our fingers and hope he’s ok :)

I’m wondering whether ” Smiling and laughing ” is a good thing since it means he recognizes people and still has the capacity to appreciate humour.

Hopefully he wont have suffered too much :(

I hope so.

@ Squall - yes, it’s looking promising :) He’s out of intensive care, and he smiled when Jeremy Clarkson called him a crap driver - I’m no doctor, but I think he’s going to be just fine :D
