Here I am. Me. Hairy Joe…Bob.

I have no tattoos, but I make up for it with cunning and guile.

And very a strange brand of sex appeal.

Hey Hairy Joe, or is it just Bob?

Nice to make your acquaintance.

An Irish accent automatically qualifies you in the sex appeal stakes ;)

Are you a big Joy Division fan?

I’m a massive Joy Division fan.

I’m unattractive but could charm the legs off a wooden table. My accent helps when abroad yes.

Well if I had a table I’d ask you not to or we’d all have to kneel, which would be unfortunate. Good party trick though ;)

Are you a big Therapy? fan too?

Oh aye. Lots of people think it’s just because they’re from “Our Wee Country” but I really do think they are one of the greatest rock bands of the last 12 years. Just for the simple fact that they haven’t followed any trends for the sake of a profit or album sales but have stuck to what they want to do.

Never seen them live or met them though. I got into them because my economics teacher went to school with andy Cairns.

Absolutely. People who don’t know them ask me who they sound like and I love that I can say “no one”!

I’ve seen them live god knows how many times…I was working for people touring with them in 1995 which was amazing. Totally worth your while when they’re next nearby!

Whenever I try to explain who Therapy? are, I say: ‘Remember Diane? That’s what they don’t sound like at all!’ It’s funny that their one and only hit in the Netherlands is the song that is perhaps least representative of their complete work, isn’t it?

I tihnk the song that best epitomises them is Bad Karma. big dumb rock’n’roll. They aren’t meaningful artisits, just a bunch of lads having fun making some great music!

Probably because it wasn’t their song at all… It wasn’t a very big hit over here in England, even though i bought three copies of it :) I love limited edition stuff!

I know it wasn’t their song, but they made a version that is way different compared to Husker Du’s version. The rock version they often play resembles the original more, and sound more like Therapy?. Anyway, I think the rock version is way better than the other two versions by Therapy?
