Ipod batteries

#

Started by Citizen Erased (confused again)

I have a 4gb mini Ipod.

The battery lasts between an hour and an hour and a half before dying on me.

Any idea how I can get it to last 2 hours plus? Would be nice to do the Great North Run with a playlist that was actually going to get played until the the finish line.

Should last longer than that - can you not return it to apple and get them to send you another?

Well I must admit that - I didn’t want an Ipod, just purely for the fact that I knew a couple of people who thought that they were good I knew from that point onwards “No Ipod”. I got a Creative Zen 20G.

I bought the 40Gig Zen Xtra three years ago (At less than half the price of the comparable Ipod) and I haven’t had to worry about the battery..even though one of the buttons is getting a little quirky.

Also you can just order a replacement battery whenever you want, and pop-it in when needed. You don’t have to ship it back to the manufacturer.

Thats why I chose mine - and the fact you can flash the bios to remove the volume limiter!

New battery ordered and they reckon I should have it within 48 hours, so it should be here in time for the GNR :)

CE - Glad to hear that the battery situation is sorted now. :D

I assume GNR means Great North Run - well if you do, you’ll have to change it to GNM - as they have changed the name to the Great North Miles, if I remember correctly.

It is indeed the Great North Run. The Great North Mile is a different but connected event the day before.

Battery has turned up today, so now I just need to work out how to connect it…
