I think it is the case that the CD is out already but a DVD is to follow later, as I understand from Classic Rock magazine, which, by the way, slated the CD!

No word on release dates for Yoni or the new Wildhearts albums.

Like any live album - if you were there it will always be 10 times better than if you weren’t.

Shame that they’re using that show for the DVD because I didn’t think it was all that great (although severe hypothermia might have played its part in that)

I don’t know if live albums sound better if you were there. I’ve never been to a gig thats been recorded so i can’t miss what iv’e never had, but it sounds weird to me! I love live albums! ;)

I think they do, I’ve got a Levellers live album from Sheffield Octagon which I love, and a big part of that is knowing I was there.

Interesting fact - that line up was only active during the Caffeine Bomb era as Stidi drummed on Earth Vs and CJ was sacked shortly before phuq and didn’t play guitar on the record, then Ritch was AWOL from the reformation until RITC. That said, CJ, Danny, Ritch and The Ginge is the classic line up despite that.

Sorry, I might have mislead you at the top of the page by describing this post as “interesting”

oh yeah - i never thought of that - Ritch will hardly know CJ…interesting! I wonder what happened to Stidi this time around and how he felt about Ritch being asked to join before him?

No, i kind of agree. Apparently when Ritch joined they weren’t sure if he was gonna fit, but he’s definately the definitive WH drummer! A nutcase and fucking LOUD!

Sorry this is off-topic.

I still do not understand what possesses people to try the damn stuff.
Oh well, If I ever get to interview Ginger, or Dave Gahan or Sid Vicious, I will ask them and get back to you with my findings.

Anyway, people have discussed the definitive WH line-up on this thread, maybe it is time to discuss the definitive Ginger solo line up…?

But then again, i don’t like any drugs! Talking to stoners is such hard work cos the only sentence they seem to be able to say is “Yeah, you know it, bruv”. Albeit very slowly. Losers. ;)

I’d be interested to hear what Sid Vicious has to say these days.

Heroin is often used by inner city pimps to condition their victims into prostitution. The dependancy becomes so severe that they will do literally anything to get enough money to get their next hit - it totally robs you of all principles and self respect.

This is precisely the reason that big rock stars end up on smack - my theory is that record execs use rock stars in the same way that pimps use prostitutes. Once you lose all your principles and self respect it is much easier for you to write that big radio-friendly hit rather than the experimental mongolian jazz double album in F sharp.

To that effect I think it is even more commendable that the Ginge has come through heroin addiction (apparently) and is now writing more eclectic and unusual stuff than ever before.

If anyone thinks I am a cunt I will completely understand

And I have read in Classic Rock and from Danny McCormack there is talk of a new Wildies album…
Surely not!

Cheers

Ginger has a country album coming out (under the name Howling Willie Cunt)and a solo album (Yoni).

Also talk of Sonic Circus album and a Wildhearts album (Scarboro Castle line up) before the end of the year.

Can’t see how he could fit them all in now.

Yeah. A country album! There were lot’s of country influences on show on Valor Del Corazon, so I don’t find this a massive suprise.

And if you don’t think that country music rocks then you obviously haven’t heard any Steve Earle…

Watched the DVD of the Scarborough gig last night. Oh, the memories that came flooding back to me:

The freezing winds.

The beer queue that stretched all the way back to London.

THAT version of Geordie In Wonderland!

Fucking great night!!!
