So who has seen it?

Obviously in Finland they’re screening it in the theatres. My friend called me up last night totally over-excited about this docu movie. Funny coincidence coz I had just read about it in Terrorizer.

Anybody has an opinion?

I’m just hoping it’ll be available in Belgium soon.

I’ve got the same fucking questions that’s why I posted this.

The DVD seems to be available, in Canada and The States that is. No clue about europe or the rest of the world.
I guess we’ll have to wait.

for metalheads residing in Belgium this week. It’s being screened twice at the movie festival in Gent. Once on Wednesday, once on Friday.

I want to post about it, no problem, but I’m only free for the last screening, I don’t know if it’s available elsewhere?
Ian MacKaye said he’s got the DVD, so maybe it’s available on DVD as well, or maybe he just got a copy since he did an interview for it…

I’ve just watched it. It’s pretty entertaining with some nice statements by Dio, Bruce Dickinson and Alice Cooper. It didn’t really tell me any new things about the genre but it’s a nice little documentary nonetheless.

Has the DVD any interesting special features?

Title: American Hardcore

@ Theng: I went to the American Hardcore documentary yesterday, it’s pretty poor, but it’s not bad either. The live snippets from the gigs are way too short (and sometimes the audio and video don’t match ). The most interesting entries are from Henry Rollins and Ian MacKaye.
Kevin Seconds, who is also one of the main characters in the American Harcore scene, got shown only for a few seconds. Same counts for Youth Brigade, also no snippets from their live gigs… Uniform Choice wasn’t even mentioned!
Lots of (rather short) live snippets from early Bad Brains, Minor Threat, SS Decontrol and Jerry’s Kids
