i havent been playing drums in a while, and last nite a friend called up and said they’re drummer wasn’t turning up for rehearsals and would I want to go down for a jam.So I dusted off my bullet proof snare grabbed a bunch of sticks and headed down.
I explained I was a bit rusty.I suggested a few warm up songs.Dave looked at me and started cranking out “Opal Mantra” I was flying, next song, “Teethgrinder” …
God I love this band!

Not being much of a drummer, Í can relate with a bit of a chuckle regardless, having played the pattern of Animal Bones a few times.

I rather like Fyfe’s drumming for this purpose. It’s a bit easier to play, yet it’s very energetic and often unusual.

Get rid of the drummer by spiking his drink with arsenic.
O hang on…he’s a drummer that probably wouldn’t do the trick! :D

Meaning what ? :)

I would much rather sit through an amazing drum solo that be subjected to a wanky guitar solo any day of the week.

Drums on their own played well sound so much nicer than guitars squealing away on their own.

I couldn’t care less about hearing solos on ANY instrument to be honest! Horrible things!

Man, that is amazing! Never heard of the chap before, but…wow!

The best thing is that guys like that make it all look so cool and effortless, when in fact it is the result of several years with no girlfriends, practising in his bedroom all through the school holidays whilst his mates were out testing out the theories they had been taught in Biology lessons…
