He’s loathed, not loved in Ulster. He’s a dodgy player at the best of times.

Are you made. He’s been nothing but consistent for the past two seasons. Made your lot look very ordinary in Musgrave park last month

Is still unloved by the Ulster fans. We still reckon we have another season in Humphreys!
Anyway, O’Gara knows that David is better than him, Humphreys was just pushed out of the Ireland squad because he was getting a bit old, not because O’Gara is better..

lol. I was pleased to see one in Polish given the vast number of Poles in Cork. Given that’s my blood, I wear mine with pride :)

I think Sunday will be a tough game, but it’s very winable.
A few more Ulster players in the side, with Isaac Boss earning a start.
Andy Trimble rested because of a slight thigh injury but that’ll be ok.
We’ll get a result. :)
And for Christ sakes, England won!

bah you know, every European team when they are in shape can beat as well the Springboks and they won of 2 points,so they are still “sick” :D .and don’t forget what our national coach,Bernard said :”Now in rugby, there are the All Blacks and the others ” and something very realistic :”if they (the All Blacks)win all their games with a difference of 40 Points, better give them the World Cup now instead of participating for winning it” :D .

Congrats Colin .I’ve seen some snippets on french Tv this evening.the Murphy’s try was the result of a wonderful “construction” ;)…What can we say now?Australia and South Africa are maybe not good sparing partners anymore (we also beast them both last year)…European teams should face at least 5 times in a year the All Blacks (the best ones at that time )to evaluate their game’s level.

‘Nuff said! And what a great game, especially the first half. Unlucky on the try that was ruled out by the TV ref (entirely correctly) but what a bit of play that led up to it. 20 phases or so — brilliant recycling of the ball. The try right before half time was an absolute beauty, and about the only time O’Gara’s miss-move actually fooled someone!

Ireland victorious, Paddy Wallace was excellent. He could contend for that Number 10 shirt. His kicking was excellent (only missed one because the wind caught it), scored a try (could’ve had 2, but one was disallowed) and set up 2 tries.
He showed that he can play in 10, and play it well. I’m pleased that he plays for Ulster.
My girlfriend was angry at me because I said that Wallace was God.
My girlfriend’s mum is obsessed with Ronan O’Gara. Instead of watching the match she watched O’Gara warm up!
All in all, a fantastic game (even though there wasn’t a lot of opposition) and a great International send off for Lansdowne Rd.
Hoping to get tickets for the Leinster vs. Ireland game, if my girlfriend is going. ;)

Ha!! Thats crazy talk. An adequate back up at best. Mabye in another three years when O Gara hangs up his boots (although Manning will be naturalised by then)

I take it you don’t like Wallace?
What do you mean adequate? Some of the things he done out there was excellent.
He made a dummy pass to allow a try, and he was man of the match.
Don’t get me wrong, O’Gara is a good player, but only on his day.
Paddy Wallace proved he can play well at 10, even though it wasn’t a great side Ireland were against.
I watch Paddy Wallace at every Ulster match, and 9 out of 10 times he pulls of something special which leads to a try, or a very good try scoring oppurtunity.
Wallace is a good player, and on Sunday proved he can play Fly half, [i]better[/] than adequately!
So there. :)

I agree with the thought that Wallace is certainly enough to get O’Gara worried. Don’t get me wrong, O’Gara has talent, bags of it. But he’s about as consistent in utilising that talent (in internationals) as the whole French team are theirs. Wallace has yet to play the number of internationals needed for us to work out if he’s consistent or not — but as I said, O’Gara will be worried. For Ireland as a whole though, it’s got to be good to have someone like Wallace knocking on the door.
Now someone has to sort out the poor England no. 10 situation… :(

England will never have another fly half quite like Johnny Wilkinson.
He’s a player that can change a game in an instant. However, since 2003 RWC final, he’s been plagued with injuries. What he should do is take a year or 2 off rugby and let his body properly recover, rather than get injured, recover a bit, play a match then get injured again. That is what he has been doing and it won’t only ruin his rugby career but it will also ruin his body.
I think Wilkinson set the standard for 10 in England, and now the English rugby fans maybe expect a little too much from their fly half.
If Wilko keeps going the way he is, I doubt he’ll ever play a game in an England shirt again. However, if he does take a rest from the game, maybe work in the gym and do some running to get himself used to the way he’ll be playing - without the contact, then maybe he has a few games left in him.
I think England have got a little bit big headed since their 2003 RWC triumph.
What they need to do is sit down, look at the situation they’re in now, get a new manager, stop playing about with the team and maybe they’ll win matches.
The reason they lose is because there isn’t enough communication on a field. I know from playing rugby myself, that if the scrum half doesn’t communicate to both the backs and forwards you lose matches. England need a side in which they can stick to. A side in which need to play together a few times.
I now have nothing else to say about England’s rugby status. Apart from - Look at them, they’re shit. ;)

Hey Colin,Ok you don’t want him in Irish Squad,so Give the French team him :D,we have also a Pb with the number 10: Michalak is always injuried,Traille was Purely shit during the 3 games as an Openhalf whereas he is more an ( excellent)inside Center,Mercier(Gloucester) is Ignored by Bernard Laporte,Beauxis, though “he was named IRB Under-21 Player of the Year”,is still young and the other ones in the French championship seem to be (or maybe according to Laporte’s opinion) too “tender” for the international level.
Concerning England,I think we should be careful with them for the World Cup in 2007…And like Bernard Laporte said about them, if I remember well :”Nothing is more dangerous than an Animal hurt in its pride”,..sorry translated from a french expression, don’t know if you have the same in English
@Colin:seems you had a great time on Sunday ;) and don’t worry, I don’t forget you:let me the time to find the pics :)
