there’s a prong song that rips off Knives. And the riff at the end of ‘Yes Its Fucking Political’ by Skunk Anansie sounds like it too…

Just for a change lets list all the songs that Therapy? have stolen from other bands.

Like Femtex sounds like ONE by metallica

The middle of Trigger Inside sounds like Four Horsemen.

Any more ?

I’m sure we’ve already got this thread somewhere else.

Stories sounds just like Shame on Me by the Wildhearts

What was that Sum 41 song that was a blatant rip of of Screamager? Think it was called Still Waiting.

 it was fuck all like screamager. It was blatantly Master of Puppets though !!

Exact Same Riff

Plus, what makes you think that Sum41 have even heard screamager ?

Finally, Em, C, G, D is such a widely used chord sequence.

It’s hardly like Andy was the first or last to use it.

Why shouldn’t they have heard it? I know they are fans of Heartwork by Carcass, why not Troublegum? Am not the only person who has thought this btw.

And it doesn’t sound much like Puppets to me and you’ll have to excuse me for not commenting on the chords as I am not a musican.

The bit after the intro is exactly master of puppets :D

The shouty bit - the riff underneath is MOP wholesale.

I have never heard screamager in there.

PLEASE CAN WE LIST WHICH SONGS THERAPY? HAVE BORROWED FROM - THIS WHOLE ” EVERY BAND EVER HAS NICKED OFF THERAPY? ” IS GETTING BORING.

:o Cheers.

I listened to the song again and to be fair I can hear that Master of Puppets riff in there now.

Songs that T? have ripped off…Die Like a Motherfucker has a riff thats straight out of a Kerbdog song called Pledge (the riff just before the verse kicks in). I doubt it was a deliberate rip off though.

Its not exactly a rip off but the opening to This Ship is Sinking is pure Joy Division.

Are you guys joking about the Metallica similarities? I’m just curious because I don’t hear anything even remotely close.

Aside from the Sum 41 riff in “Still Waiting” and its similarity to the “Screamager” riff, the most obvious one to me has always been the chorus riff from Tool’s “Part of Me” which is strikingly similar to the chorus riff from “Disgracelands.”

YES IT SOUNDS SIMILAR :D

Then it’s lucky he never claimed they did then, isn’t it?

All your posts here sound the same, but it doesn’t mean you’re actively going back and ripping them/yourself off. :p
But really, I don’t see why you’re getting worked up over this? The thread title is ‘Therapy songs that sound smilliar <sic> to other bands’, not ‘Therapy? songs that have been ripped off by other bands who are all incapable of coming up with anything original.’ ;)
