Title: first T? gig
It was in Manchester Hop & Grape (I think!) at the time when Troublegum came out. Can’t remember the dates. My mother decided I didn’t need all my old concert tickets when I moved out so if somebody can enlighten me I’ll be rather happy.
Have seen them 10+ times since then across various north west venues and they have never let me down, even when I saw them in Sheffield about 7 years ago and I had a major row with my (now ex) boyfriend. Defintely cheered me up. BTW, if you are one of the girls that bought me a large vodka that evening from the bar at the LeadMill then thanks a lot again!
Therapy rock. Long may they gig!

1994 ProvinssiRock festival Seinäjoki Finland. I was a bit too drunk:) Since then I´ve tried to be as sober I can be at a T? gig:). The gig was a BLAST: the fence between the stage and audience fell down of pressure. I remember a guy with a gasmask crowdsurfing on me and the others.
Saw the gig on VHS a couple of years later and my memories of that gig got refreshed:)
First one is the best!
Hee hee, this reminds me of the time I saw T? in Manchester and the barrier collapsed. They politely asked everyone to take a step back whilst they played some ‘mood music’

I was at this gig and still have my long sleeve isolation shirt that is hammered but still in good nick. Not my first gig though, I watched them earlier in 94 at the Monsters Of Rock at Donnington, and it was this gig that got me into them, so then I got tickets for the Royal Court. No-one seems to play there anymmore, but prefer to play at the Carling Academy (old lomax) or at the University.
Can’t remember why they had a problem playing the song, can only vaguely remember the night. Tour after that played the apollo in Manchester for Infernal Love, shit venue in my opinion, but they still rocked underneath the metal heart

Dublin 2004 with support from the Tokyo Dragons and the awesome Winnebago Deal. remember the crazy moshing during teethgrinder, potato junkie and DLAMF especially. What I loved most was the chilled out, angsty, laid back intro of Unbeliever which got the crowd slowly swaying and headnodding, before the second tune, a frantic Church of Noise kicked in where the crowd exploded……good times, fond memories.

My first one was the infamous Aberdeen Lemon Tree gig on the suicide pact tour. What a weird night, the gig started great then it all went wrong, equipment breaking down, Andy trying to have a fight with an abusive guy in the crowd… some great moments though, seeing Andy with his long-haired scruffy look, Black Eye, Purple Sky, Six Mile Water, opening with Wall Of Mouths… Left the gig with a strange feeling though, I’d been waiting to see them for 6/7 years or so… thankfully have seen them plenty since!

Well i was really into Metallica back then! That was when drum solos and 4 or 5 encores a night were still a novelty to me :)
I have that show on video and it was a pretty good gig anyway!

Cool I didn’t know it was ever on video even as a bootleg?..i have a cassette of most of the set and a few songs from each band on that day when it was broadcast on radio one. I don’t remember it being a bad gig..the new songs sounded a bit unfinished and it wasn’t as good as when i saw them on the black album tour but the setlist was really cool, I know i went away with a big smile at the end… I definitly pogo’d like fuck all the way through Therapy? and stuck out like a sore thumb in my red t-shirt in the sea of black:D

Mmm.. not a big gig-going person (due to my health condition, blabla).. so it took a while before I got to a gig. All the way into the big 00’s in Amsterdam. The highlights of the gig were Unbeliever (whom they started with) and Sister. It was just a superb show, both the band and crowd were lost in it in such a magical way.

Yeah, got a dodgy copy from Afflecks Palace about 10 years ago. I also have a video of 2 songs by each band that went out on MTVs Headbangers Ball with Vanessa Warwick hosting… might even have the Noisy Mothers highlights show as well with Krusher and Bullseye!

My god! What a fucking great show. Since i’ve been about 5 i’ve been listening to Therapy? through my brothers bedroom wall and from nicking his cd’s when he went out so it had been a long time waiting. I remember walking into the gig with Winnebago Deal screaming the place up and quite frankly being very loud. What a way to open up my first gig :D.
Anyway, got through them, Therapy? came on and kicked the arse out of anything i have seen since (Though that drunken night a month back when i saw Albert Hammond Jr came close, though that was more because of what happened than the actual gig. Wont say much but my god does Albert Hammond have a sexy girlfriend :o). And ever since then i’ve been trying to convert my friends over to Therapy?…still trying :D

Did no-one see the guys in Preston’s Student Union around October 1999? (I think - memory for dates has been devastated!) I think it might have been during their year doing whatever the fuck they felt like, though ther were busy promoting Suicide Pact at the time. I went alone (I know, I know.) as none of my Uni mates were even rock fans, but I couldn’t have forgiven myself if I’d missed it. The Gig was Un-be-fucking-lievable. The boys seemed so self-affacing and casual considering I’d been a fan for ages before this! It was a tiny venue and a very intimate gig: crowd-band interaction ar its best! An awesome 1st experience and they weren’t even trying that hard! Was anyone else at Preston Uni/At this gig and know whar I’m talking about?

First gig, first Therapy? gig, but unfortunately it was Fyfe’s last gig. :( (I believe it was also Buck Hammils last gig as JoyRider drummer which lead to wild speculation that he would replace Fyfe?!?)
Still think it was the best gig I have been too.
